Fly into Unicrons brain, release plot object, fly away. He can have Windcharger and Trailbreaker on board. Trailbreakers force field keeps Cosmos safe, Windcharger releases and directs the plot object and helps out with his magnetic powers when needed.

Morphobots, Cosmic Rust, whatever you want to be the plot object that eats Unicron to pieces.

There is no way fort max and his brothers, scorponok, trypticon, metroplex, omega together could beat him physically ?

Another thread where someone tries to shove the good ideas of the comics they've never read into the shitty cartoon "continuity" they can't move beyond.

All of my everlasting scorn.

 

Your scorn of someone wanting a better scenario than Furman's original one wherein everything hinged on his irritating made-up character cloaked in the Mantle of Mary Sue is dully noted (no, the bolded word is not misspelled).

A team that could get the job done in the G1 continuity without reliance on MacGuffins. Yeah, I think that can be done if you rely on the full character profiles for the TFs that Budiansky wrote and a knowledge of particle physics that Budiansky was no doubt lacking.

My team and why:

1. Fortress Maximus - Not a lot of explanation needed. Huge and weapon-laden. He can deliver some damage to Unicron and his size would be useful in distracting Unicron from more rapidly acting against the more important threats.

2. Metroplex - Another arsenal, but he is especially destructive in Battle Station mode wherein he can utilize Anti-Matter weaponry. That's a huge amount of bang-for-your-buck. The only downside being that it uses up too much of Metroplex's energy. That means he's going to need to constantly be re-supplied with more energy. With no MacGuffins, that leaves only a possibility for a constant stream of shuttles bringing in enough Energon to keep Metroplex supplied throughout the battle. This means a support crew on Metroplex to keep him supplied. Metroplex's support crew:

3. Blurr, the Protectobots, and Scamper - Hot Spot, Blades, and Scamper are best employed at the least delicate part of the operation - unloading the shuttles. Blurr, of course, is for rapid transit of the unloaded Energon to those feeding it into Metroplex's system. Feeding the Energon in would be the most delicate part of the operation, so Streetwise, Groove, and (of course) First Aid would handle that.

A supply line becomes a huge impediment once Unicron twigs to its importance, so you need to prevent him from doing that, that's a quick job at the beginning of the battle for:

4. Mindwipe - with a mind as powerful as Unicron, there's no way that Mindwipe's hypnotism could take control of Unicron for more than a few seconds. So, he's using the more overt hypnotic action as a cover to quickly drop in a post-hypnotic suggestion: Ignore enemies that aren't attacking him. Thus, the supply shuttles are shielded from targetting by Unicron.

For the sake of brevity, I'm not going to list off all the shuttle pilots, but instead we'll assume that there's one TF running C&C for all of them:

5. Trypticon - another hypnotist, so you don't need to be worried about pilots not following orders as they should or being too frightened to do what they're supposed to be doing. Add to that the fact that he has a force field while in city mode and he can conduct the C&C duty while safely being wherever on the battlefield that he needs to be in order to carry out that task.

That brings us to the WTF?! card and how particle physics (that Budiansky wouldn't have known much about) makes a seemingly pathetic TF one of the big hitters against Unicron:

6. Runabout - Yes, Runabout. Just because of his weapon - a Neutron beam rifle. What happens when you fire a stream of highly-charged Neutrons into a chunk of normal matter? You'll change most of it into isotopes of the existing elements. One thing, the vast majority of isotopes of otherwise-stable matter are radioactively-unstable isotopes. Then you hit those isotopes with another stream of highly-charged Neutrons (basically Runamuck has to hit the same spot twice). That causes what is known in the realm of Nuclear weapons a phenomena known as a "Neutron Cascade". It's what tears apart nuclei and causes explosions that have after-effects like mushroom clouds. This is really only practical in a vacuum environment, like the outer space environment where a battle against Unicron would be fought. And with Runamuck's personality, once somebody has clued him into the fact that he can do this, and is doing so on the battlefield, I would imagine his comm. traffic coming from him would consist of "Stop nuking yourself. Stop nuking yourself." interspersed with demented cackling.

Unicron wouldn't exactly be standing still for this, so a protective combat unit is needed:

7. Predaking - he's also got a force field to protect himself from energy attacks as well as physical attacks. He can swoop in to shield the smaller TFs on this list from being swatted likes the bugs that they are to Unicron. Yeah, Unicron will knock Preadking away when he hits him, but the combiner won't be harmed and can make sure the smaller TF is pushed along with him. Additionally, when Unicron decides to crush him instead of swatting or shooting, he's probably the only combiner who could get out, since the sword he wields is Razorclaw's sword. That should give him enough power to cut a way inside Unicron's hand, should Unicron go for such an attack.

Finally, another TF that Predaking would probably need to run interference for every now and then, but this one is a true Equalizer in this battle:

8. Darkwing - that one little bit "The more powerful the foe, the more Darkwing can hurt him" makes Darkwing more valuable in this fight than he would be in any other. With Unicron's own power being used against him, Unicron won't be controlling the battle, he'll be desperately flailing to adequately defend himself.

Sure, Unicron's got self-repair systems, enough mass, and power that would ordinarily keep him from being defeated by anything short of a Macguffin, but this isn't an ordinary team. With so much of the team using Unicron's own mass and power against him, he just won't be able to keep up. Yeah, you're going to need some big guys on the team, but this team shows that size isn't everything.

 

The 13/7 primes.

 

None of those 5 would be able to do anything, separately or together. Look how quickly Primacron's Unicron replacement took out Trypticon. Stuff like Unicron is on a whole other level to normal Transformers -- even giant TFs like Fort Max and Trypticon. It's like ants against a Tyrannosaurus Rex. "Oh, but I mean the really BIG red ants that like to bite!" Doesn't matter.

I would send Sixshot, Black Shadow, Overlord, and Thunderwing. Phase Sixers and a beast. Should get the job done quite nicely.

Sure, but they're on a similar power level. Totally beyond the ability of normal Transformers to take on. Fort Max is a tall dude. But he's still a tall dude standing on a planet. Unicron eats entire planets. Any 5 ants you choose to take on Unicron will still be ants.

 

He fixed that problem. To the massive dismay of the Aerialbots
