Well. I'm glad the only thing I ever bought from TFsource was on their ebay and it was just one of those Kitty Prime plushies... What? I'm a girl, I'm allowed.

Never doing business with them again.

I'm really getting pissed and frustrated here. I want some real answers. I deserve some real answers. We all do.

How can I trust my info will be safe if the people I am supposed to trust are not up front with me and do not give me the info I rightly deserve!?

Myself and two people I know personally have never joined the club or gone to Botcon. We got together with receipts/CC charge bills and ruled out every frickin' thing except TFSource. Trust me, it wasn't club-related.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but this has nothing to do with the current issue at hand. And it looks like that other thread got closed due to folks getting off topic with "this versus that" type conversations. I think at this point everyone is well aware of what happened with TFSource. And thanks to links like the one in your sig, hopefully others will continue to learn. Though, as has been stated previously, TFS does take PayPal now, which is something that we are hoping the club will choose to do in the future as an added feature for their members' security.

Sorry. I just get tired of the attempts to deflect from what happened or cast doubt on it, especially from people who are "sponsored" by the shady site in question. No more from me on that subject in this thread!

For some reason, toys tend to blind people to cost, inconvenience, and incompetence. ;)

Another of my cards got hit with unauthorized charges and my credit card company called me about it. I used this card a much longer time ago on the TCC website than the recent card that got hit. The lesson here is that not all cards get hit at the same time. My 2 credit cards got hit 2 weeks apart. Even though I did use this card at TFSource too, I was not affected at the time other TFSource customers were breached. I do not buy anything from TF Source anymore anyways for unrelated reasons. I think this recent hit was related to the TCC. It cannot be a coincidence.

Tfsource had some issues but anybody upset with them had the option of taking their business elsewhere, which many people did.

There is no other official Transformers collectors club for us to join.

And I think this is the thing that pisses me off the most about all of this. That such a large fandom is being given such a lackluster fan club by the company in charge of the license. Hasbro has GOT to have better options to go with than FunPub. I just cannot believe that such a global brand, responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue over the past few years between the movies and toys, has a fan club whose website looked as if it hadn't been touched since the late 90's. Up until this year, I had been scared to death to join due to the look of the site and the overall impression I had gotten from others who were or had been members. I only joined this year due to the figures. And I see now that all of my fears (and THEN SOME!!) were valid.

There has to be a better option for the fan club. A company that can appreciate their fans and build towards the future without a situation as sickening as what has taken place here forcing their hand. Honestly at this point, I won't believe anything that FunPub tries to say as far as how they are going to "make things so much better". They've had YEARS to get their shit together. And it took this to make them finally listen. Too little, too late.

That is GREAT! I called them on Monday and they said if my check did not get there by the 16th, I was screwed...so I sent it out. I asked them why there would be no grace period for people..you know..because this was THEIR problem not OURS....and I was told tough SH1t3.....Glad they changed their minds..

Can't wait for Pete's shitcan bot-like response to the comments here. Here's my pre-emptive, "go fuck yourself" response.

ok so by becoming a member every year you get member exclusive figures.

....not exactly anyone can order the figure while getting a membership.

ok But at least members get first crack at the supply, thats fine

.... well not really we give everyone, members and non-members the same info and access.

ok but at least I will get the figures at a better price.

.... well the higher figure price includes a membership and together equalls what a member paid all together also.

ok but at least we will get great customer service, thats something

....well we like making rules, and we like enforcing deadlines even when we cause the delay.

.... by the way your credit info will be stolen.

Seriously! I cant find one reason to renew my membership to this place just order the figures you want if/when you want them with a pre-paid card. Its not a club, just a very confused online seller!

I completely agree with you. And really... We don't even actually have a club. I mean I have never really felt like I was part of a club. I get a mag and a fig. Where does the club aspect come in?

And the site? Come one. the features are some lack luster wallpapers, bios on characters I could care less about and some fiction works? Come on if I want fiction I'll go play on fanfiction.net or something.

We deserve something better. Let's face it, not all of us can go to botcon. I live 20 min from DC. As much as I would have liked to go it's never worked out for me. To me we need a company running that club that focuses only on Transformers. No offense to the joe people. But really they deserve the same thing.

We need a fan club that is going to care about what the fans want. Isn't that what a fan club is all about?

Basically they're saying that for all the people that spent extra money expediting their renewals/registrations to meet the March 16th deadline that most of us didn't even know about until it was almost already too late, don't ask for reimbursement on the extra money you spent to get your stuff there on time now that the deadline has just been extended to the 21st instead.

It basically means that all the international members who wanted to renew and jumped through hoops, paying extra for money orders and faster shipping to make the deadline basically wasted the money.

I am not a member so I don't really know about the renewal issue.

I can't see how people paying $$ to get their mail to them by a certain deadline is their problem. Shouldn't people have known the deadline and just mailed it out in time? Or did they move up the deadline?
