lol, yes, okay. Undertow's head is perfect. I have no problem with people who want Undertow instead of Sea Spray. But the people who want a new head sculpt on Sea Spray, I can't understand.

and how could I get one from Spain before prices going absurd on ebay?

 

It'll probably be in a 2 pack with a deluxe-sized figure for like $90-110.

I'll be honest with you - this year's set isn't super popular, and I doubt the aftermarket prices will be crazy. With ~10 figures done each year, the ones that still are really high priced could be counted on one hand. Most still go after-market for close to retail, and in some cases, less.

 

Weird. I could count much closer to 30 that go for far more than retail   And that is just the BC toys.

A quick ebay search shows that.

And I don't really see anyone (sealed, NOT loose) going for less that retail...

Wanna know why Seaspray has maroon tenticles? Well my first tip to you is find and buy this matchbox set:
The tenticles are easily removed and can be attached just as easily with black rubber sink washers that you can buy from home depot. You have to bore out the central hole of the washer to fit the tenticles peg in. PM me with any questions.

Well, what do you consider far more? $10-30 I don't consider that much more than retail BotCon prices.

One hand might be low, but I can't recall a ton that go for insane prices. 06 Megatron / Waspinator and SG Rodimus always seemed to be way up there.

Fake-edit: Okay wow, the 2006 set is super expensive on eBay these days. I see a 2007 set sell for $300, but then Dreadwind by itself for $245 sold? Then the box is back up to crazy money. Man, eBayers are inconsistent. 2008 Prime and Rodimus are still high, but the rest are low. 2009 is waaaay under retail. 2010 seems retail, give or take. 2011 is about retail, give or take.

My main point still stands - this set seems to be selling as well as the 2009 set, so for now, I'd base re-sell value on it. BotCon hasn't had a run-away set (if you judge based solely on eBay prices) since 2007, and nothing with even a few crazy after-market toys since 2008. Using the past 3 years of performance to judge, he should be able to get one on eBay/trading boards, after the initial rush, as pretty close to retail. Of course none of us know until the market settles out.

 

Thanks for the info. Not sure about spending now $100 in this with all the Igear stuff coming, I´ll just wait and check ebay now and then for a loose one, not a priority.
