Release has not been announced. Preorders go up in either April or May.

Wow. There it is. That's the blue that should be used :)

Yep that's a much better blue. Gold frame around the chest and silver arms/thighs and he'll look splendid. Oh and how about tinting the chest window a slight shade of light blue, just enough so it isn't just clear plastic?

I don't think the grey waist mid section works though. It makes his chest and hips look separate. Also, if that mid section slides in and out during transformation, putting paint on it probably isn't a good idea :2c:

Maybe it's my eyes and this monitor, but I really, really hate white, can you humor me with a silver hue to the arms, legs and anything else white?

Yes to the blue used here.

I agree, this is defo the colour scheme to go with. Chrome buttons and tinting the chest plate will make this look the business! I like the grey mid section too, seperating the torso and hips. I want toon accurate colours but making them darker give a more realistic and serious look to him.

Isn't that the point? Aren't the chest & hips SUPPOSED to look seperate? They're not one solid piece after all...

Am i the only one that wants to stick to the toon? No grey band around his waist and No gold chrome on the tape door. If they have to chrome something do the buttons but chromes over-rated and a silver paint would look better imo.

Stick to the toon with the darker blue and no grey wasit band.

If this is ruined with a gold chrome tape door im out. I can live with the grey band even tho it's not G1 and looks awful imo but gold chrome door and i'm out. And the black blade on NB is the reason i convinced myself to sell Hercules in the end. Chrome buttons i guess i could live with too but would prefer white or silver ones.

    I agree.

I think a light grey or silver would suit the detailing on this mold far better than a plain white.

But that only works on the simplified cartoon model, and even then always looked too plain.
When you have a toy with MP level detailing such a basic scheme just doesn't cut it, imo. Even official masterpieces have had toy based accents never in the cartoon to help keep the mold more visually interesting.

I can live with chrome buttons, tho i'd probably strip them and paint them silver. The grey band is a big No for me and so is the gold chrome tape door.

You know, maybe instead of having the waist area white & grey, maybe compromise & do white for the sides, but keep the center blue? It'd probably look a bit better & more uniform that way.

The all blue waist fits right in with the MP look, the fact the waist is shaded is what distinguishes the chest and hips.

That would be better than a grey lump in his waist, kinda like the sound of some white vents in there or something

To me, it still looks too plain, though that is just my opinion.
But I was also talking about the gold chrome you mentioned. As the picture you posted shows, the toy style chrome grill and waist on MP10 suits the more detailed look that the plain, simplistic white grill and waist of the cartoon.
Same with MP Grimlock who's G1 toy based details work far better than yellow and grey and same with Soundwave.
I really don't think a yellow tape door would look right, especially when combined with a blue waist.

I don't know about some of these suggestions - when in doubt, make it look like either the toy or the cartoon model (or both whenever possible).

Why gold chrome for the tape door? Not needed.

I'm not even sure we need chromed buttons. Might look a bit odd for an MP - might not. I just hope they try both and go with what looks better/more realistic.

I mean separate as in dismembered; Especially in that pic with a dark background. Looks like his top half is hovering above his torso! I think if the waist has to be a different colour (and I'd still prefer just the accurate blue he's always been shown with) a lighter colour would be visually better, for example silver.

For me, the yellow would be like MP Starscream's white bits being pure white.
It looks flat and too cartoony, like a fan painted toy, and doesn't do the mold service.

A gold edge would make it pop more, just as the gold edge does on the G1 toy.
It doesn't have to be chromed either, I think gold paint would work as well.

I may be with you on gold paint instead of chrome, like the gold paint on MP grimlocks toes. I'd like to see how it looks first tho as i'm still thinking yellow would look best
