How can they be screwing with you if the size increase is a direct response to fans asking/demanding a size increase on this line.

Minibots are becoming an annoying topic because people are trying to do 4 different things with these characters based on what hasbro toys they already own

    1. Some want to complete a the minibots team created by the classics legends.

    2. Some want to the minibots based off of scout class wind charger.

    3. Some want the line based off of deluxe BB.

    4. Some think the concept of "minibots" is stupid and would rather have the characters in scale with their vehicle modes like classics powerglide and seaspray.

The topic has been brought up with every single minibot related mold since classics BB and its getting old.

For whatever reason it looks like Igear went with group 3. Hopefully Maketoys will stay at legends level. This will cause less competition and hopefully appease two out of the four groups at the same time

Hench looks great. I'll buy him at whatever size he ends up coming out at.

Then maybe I'll shoot him in the shoulder

I didn't say they were screwing with us, I said it would feel to me like they were screwing with us, based on their somewhat unscrupulous history of business practices (teasing characters well in advance of any actual plans to make them just so they can stake a theoretical claim on the character, and wholesale ripping off Hasbro/Takara molds). That's not to say they aren't making the scale change as a direct response to fan interest, which I'm sure was a major component of their decision. But given their history, if they remade Huffer and Seaspray in the larger scale, it would feel to me like the change was made partly with the intention of reselling the same figures to fans who already bought them with the expectation of a semi-consistent scale across the entire line. Note, that I'm not accusing them of doing that, simply stating that I'd feel a bit cheated. Of course, in that instance, I simply wouldn't buy the upscaled figures.

As for the various different interests of fans, I have no umbrage with people having different opinions of how any company should handle the minibots, nor I do think anyone is right or wrong for having any particular opinion. What I take offense to is the attitude that anyone who dislikes this particular approach should simply be happy to have any of these figures because the topic has been discussed ad nauseum.

That's how I feel about the upcoming figures. I doubt they'll add any features because of the upscale.

And yep, hopefully I can count on Maketoys for my minibot line.

I'll get excited when these hit retailers, I'm.still waiting for Ratchet and Ironhide to be released. Also, does anyone else think Hench is based on the fansproject munitioner mold?

I guess it's just an issue of whether a Person chooses to see the positives or the negatives of a situation.
We had two third party companies competing for the same niche market. So one of them made a decision to adjust their scale to appeal to a different market. I don't see how choices could ever be a bad thing.

I don't think igears past is relevant to the discussion at all. Almost All 3rd parties leak images to gauge response before investing real time and money into a project. It has been noted that igear seams to have multiple designers working on multiple projects (mini warriors, wreckers, masterpiece style, etc.) Some of them work faster then others or just have easier projects. As far as past supposed behavior... If somebody truely had a problem with they shouldn't be buying any of their products or one could be considered hypocritical.

More to the point my original comments were directed to my personal frustrations with this fact:
If you go back to the original threads for rager they are filled with numerous complaints that these figures were too small. Now we have numerous complaints they're to big. FOR ME that makes me annoyed and frustrated. I put myself in the shoes of the designer and can only imagine how he feels.

Why argue? Smog and I had a back and forth about height issues but we had a private chat, got over it and now I feel like I have a toy allie. I'm also willing to concede I was wrong about the height, these do look better.
Mind you, i would have supported the line anyway.

Looks really good. Depending on the price, but this is definitely on my want list.

Love the new size since I don't collect legends class figures. And the G1 Brawn toy was in robotmode about the same size as a small G1 deluxe. Works perfect for me.

Damn Brawn looks so GREAT and a perfect classics style to boot!
About as big as classics Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, just the way I prefer my classics minibots :)

I really dig Rager and Spray but they are too small to fit into my classics collection so I have them as their own thing but these two guys will hangout with my classics.

Looks great but falls out of my collecting goals. I will get Cosmos and if Warpath is the same size as well as powerglide as the original Mini warriors them but I have a feeling I'll have to break down and buy maketoys powerglide. Thankfully already have a legends brawn but this one would have rocked for legends class size. Glad others got what they wanted though because that's a really nice figure (hope the stress marks on the feet get fixed though).

Brawn looks great, but he'd look even better with an upscaled Huffer to stand head-to-head with! Hint hint iGear ;)

For me this is the scale for the G1 crew.

And this Brawn is perfect for the classic line, sometimes cosmos must be bit biger and obviously Huffer and Seaspay need a resize in this scale. They was suposed to be minibots, but the g1 tv scale isn´t the same that the g1 toys scale, they are supossed to be real vehicles, not toys vehicles. That´s my opinion.

Now just make it a reasonable price, and Hasbro will have to find a way to catch up to you, iGear.
