No, seriously? Name me one thread in the movie boards from the last 3-months that was even discussion worthy. Why do all you people want to bring up talking points about a movie that's 9 months old!? And why can't you think of anything interesting or thought provoking to say, other than "Dylan's water bottles are a key plot point" or "Do you think Laserbeak should've been an ostrich?"? Goddamn, if this is where this board is going, then the Mods should just delete it and just make it part of General Discussion.

The main reason I think people are making movie threads is "because it's there". So I think that by getting rid of the movie board, there will be less "asininity". Get me?

 

There are stupid in threads in more places then just the Movie Discussion. Prime gets a few. But movie is till getting the most. But if you think that simply telling to people not to make stupid threads is going to work you are unforunately mistaken. We can trust the mods to keep the really crazy threads at bay. But I have to agree with Nachtsider, Hazekiah really over analyzed things and made some pretty crazy threads in this forum.

 

Yeah, the only ones who make stupid threads are the select few who act before they think.


However, with at least one more movie coming, this forum is pretty much here to stay for the time being.

Nowadays?! Theyve been like that since the first movie; well not so much then but just getting worse since then. Back in the day, Id say 1 out of 5 threads was just fluff; now, Id say 1 out of 2

 

Because people ran out of things to talk about. The movie forum is only good when a movie is actually close to coming out. Otherwise it's just dumb speculation and spam.

 

There's nothing new to discuss that's why. The movies are yesterdays news. We should just rejoice for now, until the next Micheal Bay crap-fest is made.

 

It's just a really slow period because production hasn't begun on the 4th film yet. But then closing down the movie section might not be a great idea because you never know when we might get flooded with movie news that people want to talk about.

Besides movies far older than the Transformers movies get talked to death and annualized into little bitty bits. People still talk about the Wizard of Oz, the original King Kong, Casablanca, so I why not talk about the Transformers movies?

Thanks to DVD and Blu-Ray people are still digging up little bits I didn't notice when I rented Dark of the Moon, or details from the movie comics that explain something within the films.

 

Okay. Lets be rational.

So what's the point of having these boards? So Transformers fans can have discussions about the fiction, merchandise or something else altogether. My problem with the movie board right now is that nothing that's being posted is really discussion worthy. It seems that pretty much everyone still posting on this board are just graspng at straws. The reason it annoys me is because this board is the first thing I see when I open TFW2005. Petty I know, but even still when you come here you want something to catch your attention, other than the news. If the example the boards present is something like "Sam's boss = Bumblebee" that's not gonna encourage people to go the boards. Thus I suggest that the movie board be deleted, people post their movie threads in General Discussion & it's replaced by the Prime board as the first board you see when you enter TFW2005.

Well, not to break it to ya, but this thread is pointless too... And if you're not happy, why not COME UP with actual thread ideas? Just because you don't like a place doesn't mean it has to be deleted, and, as far as I know, no one is putting a gun to your forehead to click on the Movie forums and not skip it to go straight to what INTERESTS you. You already know it's all garbage in your eyes, so why bother coming back to the forum??

 

Okay, I don't mean to upset anyone (well except maybe some people who post on the movie board) but all I'm sayin' is that the current state of the Movie board bugs me, & I can't really ignore it due to it being on the front page (maybe replace it with the Prime board?).

 

You CAN not click on it, can't you? What's making you forced to click? Just don't go on the forum if you don't like it. And just 'cause one person doesn't like it, doesn't mean we all who enjoy it should have it taken away.
