I buy them from the Comics Factory in Pasadena.

 

I used to get em from a store called Tramps Comics, and it started back with the G1 Transformers comics.

If I don't wait for the trades, I download them on my Android.

 

I get them in my Local comic shop The Big Bang, sometime they don't get in some single issues so I go into town to Forbidden Planet and get them there.

 

I use a Pre Order service. I will never pay $4 for a comic book. Preordering comics helps smaller companies.

 

I get all my TPBs from Amazon. On the rare occasion that there's some individual issue that I absolutely need to have, I check New Dimension Comics locally or mycomicshop.com on the 'net.

 

I buy used trades at Bookmans locally, I get some from Amazon, but now that I have an Asus Transformer Prime I am almost all Digital now.

 

I go to a comic shop a few towns over where the guy that runs it is a total 180 from every negative industry stereotype. Before that, I used to buy them at grocery stores when their magazine sections had something other than gun and bridal magazines.

 

Im walking distance from my comic shop , Painted Visions   but when im in New York (which is often) i always go to Midtown Comics.

 

I buy mine at The Great Escape here in Nashville. Sometimes I'll also stop at Dave's Comics.

Great Escape is pretty great. Huge selection of back issues. 25% discount on anything in my pullbox, plus discounts on pretty much everything else comic-related anywhere from 20-25%.

 

Newbury Comics for most stuff, Comicopia for stuff that Newbury is out of/doesn't stock.

 

Same here. I go to Challengers. The owners have been my comic guys since moving to Chicago and I followed them when they opened their own shop

Local comic shop called Comics Etc. Nice discounts. Discounts get the comics cheap enough that I have no advantage to get the TPB because the amount I pay for the individual issues is the same as the TPB price. Bonus is I don't have to wait months to read a story.

I always thought it would be strange to get a TPB & find it has something awesome in it but you really can't talk about it because everyone else found the awesomeness months ago & have moved on. Its like coming on the board and say TF Prime's finale was so cool & everyone is "welcome to last year"

Apparantly the 'One Million Moms' want Toys R Us to stop selling Archie Comics because their current issue is about the marriage of two men.

This is interesting because members like RabidYak have pointed out the inherent limiting factors of selling only in specialist shops but comic companies (so far as I've been informed) have a largely left leaning employee base and thus the writing reflects this. So, can comic companies continue to take story telling risks such as this one and still sell in a wide market shopfront like a toystore?
