For me it was to win a ticket to concert of Linkin Park, that was in Moscow last summer in support of Transformers: DOTM. To win a ticket the bidder should have made a costume of Transformer, and I have taken this task as a challenge!
During two whole day including nights I and my friends (three guys and three girls) was making this costume, painting my face and putting it all on me:)  It was really incredible thing... Even today I sometimes find a trails of spray paint (which we used to paint parts made from cardboard) on bench near campus and on windowsill on a staircase in a hostel :)  After all we should have make a photo of me in the costume, and to make this I rolled out on roller-skates into hall of my University during the lunch break. Thousands of people saw me! They asked me to be photographed, other dash aside and just were shocked by my appearance :)  None familiar didn't recognized me, but one guy recognized Sideswipe :)  And of course, no one bidder didn't make anything similar and I won the competition by a wide margin.

At the concert was great! First hearing Iridescent and the realization that Michael Bay is somewhere near me was so awesome!

Saved and saved for 2-3 months when I was a kid to get PowerMaster Optimus Prime (aka when he was brand-new!).

Since I never did get a G1 OP, I was determined to get a PMOP.

Thank you! When I heard about a concert, I thought I will go for Transformers on anything, but only a zeal was not enough :)  It's good that friends agreed to help, although they are not fans. Two nights sniffing glue - it's not funny :D  Although everything turned out great, I will never forget those days before the concert and the premiere of the film (after concert I walked in night Moscow and in the next day a went to the main theater to search a posters... And have got a whole pile of they, it was very hard to transport them into the underground)... And of course, going to the cinema was the best day of my life...
After making costume, one guy, my familiar, asked one of my friend, who helped me: "With who did you last seen the dawn?" He replied, "With Kate" (meaning me), then he asked another girl the same, and she replied, "With Kate, too" :D  It appears that I'm very romanticist :D

I think investing quite a bit of money over the course of a couple of months on 6 unofficial Constructicons that ostensibly form Devastator is a pretty good indicator of what I'm willing to do. I go for the characters they're supposed to be, not the name brand.

^This. Hercules is probably my biggest investment. To think when I started back in this hobby, I balked on spending 480 for a Fortress Maximus :D

No, it was a spontaneous solution:)  I chose him because to make costume of someone else meant too much responsibility, and Sideswipe then was still a novice :)

Getting HA Soundwave was an awesome moment for me :)  The fact that he is so rare and that he is cancelled now makes me feel luckier. Also am I the only one who thinks your face looks scary with that paint on it? LOL

It's either blowing sixty bucks for a Leadfoot figure or spending over 120 bucks for multiples of Movie Dreadwing.

Mine ain't as epic, but... Thanks to video reviews of Transformers ROTF Leader Prime, I knew his transformation pretty well already. The challenge was to Transform both Prime and Megs (Leaders) in less than 2 minutes. If you did it, you could take home one of the two :D  I chose Prime!
