I'd say anything not made by Hasbro, Takara or licensed from one of those two is "third party", in that it not made by the owners of Transformers. This would mean the Wonderfest exclusives would be moved out of this section though, as they are licensed.

Now "3rd party" can possibly include original molds, copied Hastak molds, and modified HasTak molds. It can contain original characters and character inspired by official ones.

For instance Warbot Defender is from a third party company, it's an original mold, but it's inspired by G1 Springer. Meanwhile a CHMS Fracture toy is a copied mold and a copied character, but still not made of licensed by HasTak. Sometimes 3rd parties can even make original characters like the Heartmaster or Starcats.

 

Just put it all back together. One less thing to make rules about, and argue about.

 

i think it depends on whether the ko is of an official hastak product in which case it belongs with the official section to better inform those looking to collect genuine articles as opposed to a ko wildrider for example or ko's of older official product.
and the same applies to the third party forums. if some group ko's the fp causality figures as some have mentioned before or made a ko of shadow scythe it would equally benefit those who are interested in 3rd party merchandise. and those who arent into 3rd party stuff wouldnt be bothered with it.

what im trying to say is put the knock-off information in the section that is being knocked-off.

 

It should go in the transformers toys thread. The idea of 3rd party stand alone thread itself is stupid. It wastes my time moving around threads when all I care about is looking at toys.
