As u know there many ppl here who wants the mains cons and/or any other cons to stay dead for the fourth film (obiously you know i do not agree), but i was thinking how did those ppl felt when megatron resusrection for ROTF was confirmed by bob orci and the trailers

so how did you all felt Anti-ressurection for tf4 ppl when megs was brought back in ROTF?

we all new it was going to happen in ROTF it was far to obvious. As for TF4 Im not sure but imo you just cant have a transformers movie without megatron in some form. I think its safe to say megatron will be galvatron in TF4 and unicron will probably make an apperance. I can see michael bay using unicron as a chance to once again push the visual effects.

 

I'd have preferred if Starscream took over as main villain [or as The Fallen's best henchman], as he had the chance to finally shine. But I wasn't particularly bothered by Megatron's return either.

 

All I'll say is this. Bringing someone back from the dead once is fine. Do it more than once, and it becomes a joke.

 

This. It's OK to bring a few characters back from the dead once but after that, another resurrection would sorta make killing pointless as they'd just keep coming back.

I like Megatron being resurrected once but unfortunately they've already wasted that on the shitty ROTF/DOTM Megatron. So no more lives for him.

 

Agreed. Keep bringing Megatron back from the dead and he'll just become a laughingstock. Same for the other dead Decepticons. Let them rust in pieces.

New movie, bring in new characters to keep things fresh and the audience interested. Lord knows there are plenty of great villians that can be used, i.e. OVERLORD.

 

That's different. One resurrection for a major character isn't bad at all. When it starts happening more than once, it shows no creativity from the writers in my humble opinion.

if you guys were fine with megs ressurection in ROTF, but do not want him ressurected twice, then why you guys do not want Starscream, Soundwave or Shockwave back, they only died once, while megs twice

 

Optimus can be killed and brought back, why not Megs, or Sentinal?

Meh. I was hoping he would stay dead until the third movie so Starscream would have time to shine as Decepticon leader in ROTF. I wasn't bothered by Megatron's resurrection, though.

 

It's the way Megatron was brought back to life that's jarring.

Recount his revival from being frozen, dramatic and menacing.
Same for Optimus with the chorus backing.

But his revival from underwater was like, "oh hi there, hyuk, hyuk, that was annoying".

Megatron being revived once is enough for me....its balances out with Optimus' resurrection in DOTM.

I have always imagined that what could happen in TF4 is someone(new villain)
combines the remains of Soundwave and Shockwave and using tech obtained from Megatron pre TF1 load the Megatron "progam" to try to animate the machine...which becomes Galvatron......its not megatron per se (by spark) but does have the basic corruption programming that Megatron "suffered" from.

 

even despite i do not watch the cartoons i do have a great knownledge of G1 Stuff, i know G1 Starscream is a Ghost
