I prefer the new colours for Blastoff, Vortex and Onslaught...Swindle and Brawl looked better before. I really hated the gold on Blastoff and Vortex...didn't suit Bruticus at all. Blastoff in gold looks like the Protoform Starscream from the first Bayformers movie...I hated that figure.

Looks like we have Energon Bruticus Maximus and ROTF Bruticus Maximus going on...I wonder what will be a store exclusive...might be the ROTF colours if the past is any indication.

vortex and blast off look good but im a bit unsure on the rest because of brawls colour and swindles chest . Hopefully brawl will be a better colour.

They look more Energon Bruticus Maximus like to me. My G1 Swindle certainly isn't bright yellow only the Alternator/Binaltech one is.

They looked like the Game before - which is really what you'd want - for them to resemble the source material. Now they just look like under 5's toys or Ben 10 toys.

If Takara later show up with their versions sporting the original game colours at twice the price I won't be especially impressed with either company then..

Also call me crazy but some of those Decepticon logos look like Movie ones with 4 sided eyes.

No, I agree with snake_eyes1975 every time I see them I care less about them too... No way I'm importing them that's for sure if I can't pick them off a UK supermarket shelf or get them cheaply online I'm not going to waste my time chasing them when the only mould that is anything other than a bit pants is Swindle and all the shockingly poor colours do no favours for the mediocre appearance of the rest of them.

I didn't mind Energon Bruticus Maximus' colour one way or another over the Superlink one they were both muted enough to not be offensive - but these ones seem like the are patronising the viewers - saying ha ha look your going to have to buy the Combaticons in colours so over the top they make the Rescue bots look positively mature by comparison.

What is Hasbro's Transformers division doing?

If they're trying to make figures that are representatives of the FOC Combaticons, shouldn't they be making them in colors as close to their in-game representation as possible? Making them in Energon Bruticus Maximus colors makes no sense, since no one will be looking to buy these representative figures in those colors (other than a part of the fandom, as seen in this and other threads whenever the EBM color-scheme is seen). All the other likely buyers would be looking to see these figures in their FOC colors (the rest of the fandom, gamers who found out about FOC through GI and saw the pictures of the figures there, etc.). Putting them out in EBM colors is a move that would only cut down on their potential sales.

If they're trying to test out the waters on bringing back symmetrical multi-robot combiners by making a group that homages the Combaticons (not any particular incarnation of them), why not tweak the robot and vehicle modes of the individual Combaticons to make the best version of the combined form that they can afford within their allocated budget? Not doing so would (again) cut down on their potential sales.

If whoever is doing marketing is putting out pictures in completely incorrect colors, then it would seem like a golden opportunity for Hasbro's Transformers division to clear up the confusion as soon as possible. Doing so would help to alleviate some disappointments caused by advertising of products that they haven't been able to release recently. That has the potential of retaining sales among a minor portion of the end consumer of their product with no notably increased cost or effort on their part.

Boiled down, it just seems strange that Hasbro's Transformers division is taking as long as they are to make a definitive statement on what the final appearance of the general retail release of these figures will be.

I think there is NO WAY IN HELL these are the colors that they will be released in...Why would they show us the other pictures that are more game-accurate, if they weren't going to sell those? I think these look more like knock-offs, than the real thing. I mean, we just saw a video on the FOC gameplay and we now know what the real in-game colors are...Why would they change the toys to look NOTHING LIKE the characters everyone will be playing in the game?

    These toys are somehow off.

I don't get it... It really seems like the "A" team left Hasbro. Did somebody or some group get fired or quit right around the time of FE Prime? Animated and RotF seemed to be done by totally different people than RotF. And then the FE Prime toys had that Animated/RotF magic once again... And then those amazing toys are pulled from the face of the earth and all future releases look like they're coming from the DotM team.

I really think a team of designers (the best designers) pissed somebody off and got the axe, and FE Prime took the fall.

Why don't they just use the other colours then it's the same as in the game, is that too difficult?

I am more and more pleased with my Fansproject Bruticus, and 3 of the components are the TFCC versions!

So far of this wave of 8 toys only Shockwave is a must have, with Onslaught and Brawl possibles. Jazz and Prime aren't bad, but I don't need them given how there are plenty of better versions of both.

I doubt it will, but if they use the same connector pegs as the Energon combiners (doubtful), Brawl will get used for that, though not Onslaught.

Oh well. I'm in my twilight of toy collecting anyhow. It will save me cash.
