Argh. Totally struck out on Prime and Mirage this weekend. I drove to St. Cloud to pick up a $170 Fatwallet-deal PC at Office Depot and hit every Target and WalMart I could get to on the way back (along 94 & 694). NADA! The wave had been there at most of the stores already, which kept pissing me off more and more. Additionally, it's already come and gone at the Roseville and Midway Targets as well as Midway Walmart. I probably hit a dozen stores yesterday and today. The TRU in St. Cloud had two Primus as well as a Tracks left over from the alt wave. I haven't really noticed anyone else mentioning seeing this wave at TRU. ARGH! At least I got a cheap upgrade for my home theater PC.
Sounds like my weekend, minus the sweet deal at Office Depot. Additionally, I checked the downtown Target this morning and they had new stuff in...but it was older stock, and they completely filled the empty Alternators slot with Cybertron Voyager toys. I dutifully piled all of the Voyager toys into the correct space and left hoping the gaping Alternators space would be filled by the next time i check. The way things are going, it'll be filled AND emptied, twice, before I get back.

Wow, was the St. Cloud store the only one that had them in stock? That is a very good deal if you get the rebate money.
grrrrr... my brain be frying, since I can't remember the specific location, but it was either the Brooklyn Center or St Louis Park Target that had BW Primal and Megs as of about 6:30 pm. I did some hunting, then proceeded to go to rehearsal for three hours, so my brain wiped it out, sorry!
Heh, that's about ten minutes before I was there. Which means that even if the new stuff HAD been there, you probably would have nabbed it and I never would have known it was there. Downtown Target still hadn't filled their empty Alternators shelf space as of 11:30am today. I'm waiting one more week and then my intense craving for Mirage is going to force me to buy online. Of course that also means I'll find him on a store shelf two days after I get him in the mail.
I got a Primus today (No Unicron head) at Downtown Target. You have to give guest services the DPCI # (087-06-0001) and they will pull it out of the back for you. I really shouldn't be spending the money, but its the f*ckin planet of Cybertron for chrissakes, so I had to do it. On a side note, said Target has zero Alternators, and when I plugged the DPCI into the price scanner, they had none in the back either. I want my Prime, bitches!
When you see Mirage, you'll want him more. That's my take, anyway. GORGEOUS Alternator, the best yet. Congrats on Primus. It is so cool to finally have a planet Cybertron in my collection. Wow.
Thanks man. I actually found out yesterday that my GF's brother out in San Diego found both Prime and Mirage at his local Target and scooped them up for me. No more futile hunting trips in the SW burbs for this guy [until the next poorly distributed highly desired short packed TF comes out anyway...]
I had a small win today as well -- Nemesis Prime arrived in the mail. It's kind of sad that I picked up Prime's evil twin before the man himself.

Heh, and I'll up the ante with a case of empty file folders, your choice of style: redrope expandable, manilla or our hot green trademark! Downtown Target still has no Alternators in the warehouse (according to the DPCI check). And once again they or someone filled the shelf space with Cybertron toys. Is there a certain day Target gets shipments or stocks? Or do they just kind of do it all week long on an "as-needed" basis?
As far as I know, Targets get new stock every day. Whether there's any TF's on it is another matter. I doubt we're going to see any Alts or Primus en-masse until Target's fall re-set. Hopefully I'm wrong. In the meantime, don't write off Walwart. I got my Prime and Mirage at the Bloomington one.
Depending on Target volume, they'll get 4-10 trailers a week. If a store is sold out of alternators it will trigger more to be ordered from the DC as soon as they are availible. Targets rarely order many more TF's than will fit on the shelves, unless it's an exclusive or they're running a sale. Basics and Deluxes are the only Transformers I have personally ever backstocked otherwise, and even then its always less than a case worth.
