Figured it was fitting as it's a "Transformer" My Daughter said "But's a Transformer PRIME" I said "There are Decepticons in Prime"
deluxe prime with trailer picked up in town Hey guys...found deluxe movie prime with trailer at Target Desert Ridge. One left...had to have them pulled from in back.
Stopped by I10/Ray TRU as well, and noticed not only that they are full up on BB's (I lost count after awhile), but still have several CJ's and one WJ. Oh, as well as several Powerizer OP's (3) and one Powerizer Megs. On a side note it appears that this TRU has done a full reset of their shelves, with everything mixed up and moved around. Glanced at the Avengers product hitting shelves also, but 99.9% of it turned my nose. Why does Hasbro continue to repaint/repackage the Thor/IM/Cap movie stuff just in new boxes? Oh wait, cuz they can. Surely kids will notice they already bought 50 versions of these toys already, won't they? Waiting for the Helicarrier to see the price point, but will probably wait for either a steep discount closer to the holidays and or somewhere other than TRU. Does it bug you even slightly that you just paid $30 plus tax for a deluxe Prime... and a crappy empty grey box with wheels? No slight, offense, and or insinuation of negativity towards you Ruminus. Just noticing that this seems like a huge waste of dough.
Well, It is insulting that I already owned the Walmart Exclusive Deluxe Prime and paid $30 for a plastic gray box to use with it. Now I have a less than stellar Deluxe Prime to shoot at with the AR-15! Yes it is overpriced But since I have a Masterpiece Prime and Trailer and a G1 Prime and Trailer, I had to get a small Movie Prime and Trailer to go next to my Ultimate Prime and Trailer...you know gotta keep things symmetrical!
The TRU on Oracle has a few RID Prime figures... They had a couple of Wheeljacks, Bumblebee, and A Cliffjumper... Also, Powerizer Prime...
I ran up to the TRU on 3rd St & Bell Rd. They have quite an interesting collection of Transformers! Some surprising back stock. I actually found a Generations Blurr! There's also a Generations Dirge, and two Generations Thunderwings. They were fully stocked on TFP:RID (minus Soundwave), including Megatron and Optimus. Anyway, here's pictures: Then I ran across the street to the plaza with the Ross, Big Lots, and Walgreens. Ross had two RTS G2 Optimus Primes. Big Lots had a couple each of these three Minicons, as well as an entire box of Wreckloose, Backstop, and Undermine. They also had these hilarious knockoffs! The back of the card has pictures of all of the knockoffs, including a couple of insect ones, which Big Lots didn't have. If anyone sees these anywhere, please let me know! Good hunting, stalkers! You should get a picture of all of your Primes in truck mode with trailer, side by side, from largest to smallest! Also, I took a peak at your deviantArt. You have quite the talent with those comic colorings!
I was in ahwatukee today and managed to snag a deluxe prime and movie trailer, too. They had to pull it from the back. That Target still has two more if anyone is interested.
I'll do that lol! And thanks, I love painting comics! Oh...quick question, how do you go about posting your sightings pics? Do you upload to a site first then post the image URL? Or are you embedding in the post directly from your phone??..nevermind...I see your uploading to imgur. You can post straight from phone or computer if you click the advanced option in the post. It allows you to upload rather than posting them on another site first. Although it puts them in the post as clickable thumbnails that way. Makes pages load faster though. Just thought I'd point it out, it'll let you post from your phone while your still in the store and skip uploading to imgur first.
No, the logistics and Backroom guys are not drones. They are the hardest working people in retail. The team leads work them like slaves in a third world country. In the store I was with for 6 years, the "flow" team, as they are called, were mocked and ridiculed by other employees constantly. In private, the ETLs did it too. And yet I met some of the most amazing people I've ever known there in that war zone of a job. Our team came in at 4 am, sometimes 2 am, and were immediately given an hour to an hour and a half to unload by hand a truck which contained between 2 and 3 thousand boxes, furniture, everything in the store. 2 poor souls in the truck, 5 on the line. And the same 2 people in that truck every day. There was sweat and blood. A lot. If they fell behind schedule, they were yelled at during their 15 min beak for it and someone may have their job threatened if they "talked on the line" or were showing signs of "slowing down". By the time we show up at the stores looking for these toys, most of them have worked their butts off, literally. The problems, the people not doing their jobs right for whatever the reason, would be the planogram and salesfloor employees you encounter working out where you can see them who are apparently saying things currently which totally contradict Target policy on pulling for "guests". Things all over these threads like "we don't pull from the back" and "there is a collector policy", or outright BS like "they are street dated".
A little more to the trailer would have been nice but your paying for the presentation a little. I'll give it a look, still no where near the inflation we put out to get something from overseas.
Yeah, I just realized this was a deluxe...$20-$25 would have been better but I think to keep him in alt mode might be worth it. I can free up my Ultimate Prime from his alt mode so he can spread his wings and fly.
