Okay, I tried that subscription thing that Steam has going from the Steam workshop, but every time I have something subscribed, it crashes my game at start up. It probably doesn't matter, but does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

I can run the game fine when I dont have any of that content subscribed so its not uber critical for me.

Does it crash on the launcher when it is going through checking/downloading subbed mods? This happened to me and guess one of the mods I was subbed to got borked somehow and would crash my launcher.

If it is crashing after boot up on the main menu, again, this happened to me as well and it was indeed one of the mods... no idea which one but I unsubbed to everything and it stopped and I have slowly subbed to mods and launched fine so far.

Encountered my first Elder dragon last night. Bastard dropped right out of the sky and on my head in the atrium-like area at the entrance to the College of Winterhold. It went down like a chump, too. I love my Daedric greatsword. :D

I discovered a cheap way to make a bunch of money last night. I had a crapload of filled soul gems sitting around, so I decided to make a bunch of iron daggers, as they're so cheap to make, and then enchant them to up my Enchanting. When all was said and done, I had like 23 daggers. I made a nice little sum from selling them all off, too.

I know! Lowest form of banish on them is enough to make em all no less than 600 gold.

I used Absorb Health on them, got them up to an average of 550 per dagger. Had to go to like 6 vendors to sell them all, lol. :D

I finally got an internet connection set up for the PS3 (wifi for the win), so I downloaded the 1.4 patch this morning. Man, what a difference! It's running even smoother than when I loaded the game for the first time. I may just be my imagination, but the graphics look a lot crisper too...and that's without my glasses on.

Man I want to get back to playing this game so bad but classes are killing me :(  it doesn't help that when I get on a quest (depending on my need to kill everything in the area and explore) can take almost an hour making me feel like my progress is so incremental compared to how much the game has to offer. And I say this as a level 35 something last time I played.

I know what you mean, jdre. I'm lucky to play for 2 hours a night after work, and there's just so much to do that it feels like I barely make any headway. Anytime I see and an undiscovered location on my compass, no matter what I'm doing, I just have to go find it. I usually end up on the other side of the map than I want to be. :D

    I have an issue.
So there is the place on Skyrim called "Night Caller Temple", and there is an entrance that apparently a follower is supposed to cast a spell to a wall in order to get to the other side. (at least that came from wikia after trying to find out how to get in.)

Now, the "follower" (I forget his name) said it was really dangerous inside, and that his warning needed to be done before entering. So we go inside, But then, . . guess what?

Once inside, he's nowhere to be found?? WTH?

It's my buddies game, and I don't have a solution..has anyone encoutered this? Is this some kind of glitch?

Yeah! Hope that link Ronin provided. That part to me went by without a hitch, yet some parts like the vast bounty missions, can't be finished for some dumbass reason.

THanks a lot, it was mainly meant for a friend of mine. I still have sometime before I reach that mission.

Right now I'm mainly trying to do all my misc. missions and exploring when I can. I saw a video on the werewolf transformation in the game taking out a giant like he was a skeever... awesome... can't wait to do that mission.

You guys must play this game everyday. :)

God created me with two hands, and I use them both for my weapon. You should respect that!

    Lol.

Having said that currently I'm using a flaming ebony sword in one hand and south trap in the other, in order to steal as many souls as I can. Once I max out my enchanting perks I will be double enchanting my spare set of Dragon plate armour.

This is weird. Every time I fast-travel to Dawnstar, a dragon attacks. Every. Single. Time. Now, it's always and Elder dragon that shows up. It's great for getting dragon souls, as I was getting a little low, but man it gets annoying when I just want to buy/sell some crap and have to deal with a dragon beforehand.

Not sure if ya know this or not, but there's a weapon in-game found in one of the tombs that has the fiery soul-trap ability. It always does 10pts of fire damage and if the target dies within' certain seconds it fills a soul gem, it's called Steel Battleaxe of Fiery Souls. You find it inIronbind Burrow.

Together with the double enchantment perk for more damage or whatever else you please, it goes extremely well with the Black Star.

Though I usually just leave fiery soul-trap and set the soul trapping to one second, it always gets the soul 100% because it's scripted to take effect per swing. With a Grand soul gem I get like 2000+ uses before I have to use a soul gem to filler up.

I already have the weapon soul trap enchantment, but the whole 10 second thing only really applies to low level enemies. I'm 'fairly' certain I can kill most enemies under 10 secs but if I want to be sure to fill a larger gem I use the Soul Trap spell, as the window of... uh 'trappage' is larger.

Also the flaming blade I'm using does 35 (!!!) extra points of firey damage, on top of whatever the souped up Ebony sword does.

I picked up that Ebony Blade from underneath Dragonsreach... I kinda regret it now. I'm never going to use it though, I'm just going to store it in my house... probably one of the empty ones so it has no one to talk to.
