Anyone else see this? I have been a big fan of the many of the Podcast's, especially tell 'em Steve Dave and was really looking forward to it and I enjoyed it. That being said, I really don't like how they are setting up Bryan to be such an ass to Ming though. Sure it's true that they give him a rough time on the Pod, but nothing like they showed on the episode. Anyone else catch it?
I watched a bit of this last night & it wasn't bad. I've always liked bartering shows like this one, and I think we all know that a lot of the ribbing is either just for show, or otherwise made to see different than it really is.
I didn't get to. I wanted to though. Seems interesting. But was on to late for me plus being sick and getting up at 6am forand work... I didn't want risk staying up. Hopefully it will be on demand soon.
The only interesting part of the show was Kevin Smith. That one dude with the beard was kind of a douche. Overall it wasn't bad but I don't think I'll be taking time out of my schedule to watch it again.
I watched it for about half an hour last night. Seemed like a rip-off of Pawn Stars, just with comic books.
This show is really cool and funny. Kind of reminds me a little of toy hunter but people come to the store. I hope it lasts long enough on Spike.
I watched it because I wanted to see scenes from the next The Walking Dead. I was going to turn it afterwards, but there wasn't anything else I liked on. I knew I heard that snippet of music somewhere before. Pawn Stars is on right now... yep.
I watched the first few minutes, but I had to stop because of that awful second hand embarrassment feeling. Between Kevin Smith, the dude with the out of control hillbilly beard, and the total lack of anything even resembling a female, this show looks like it's just going to promote that old "40 yr old fat virgin" stereotype. I have a feeling people will see this the same way they see Toddlers and Tiaras, where they tune in to point and laugh at the freaks instead of identifying with the people on the show.
While I'm a big fan of Kevin Smith, I don't see this show succeeding in the long run. It doesn't seem like it will appeal to anyone outside of the comic world.
"Hot dog for the sell-out douchebags!" I actually really enjoyed this show, not so much for the guys that are on it,but just to see what they were buying/selling.I would have loved to have been at that flea market that they were at.They were selling that stuff dirt cheap. I don't know if this show stands much of a chance of making it though because of the limited audience that will watch it.I'm sure they're hoping that the viewers that watch The Walking Dead will carry over to watch this show.
I saw the commercial during Walking Dead and I was like "Oh wow awesome". Then I watched five minutes and was like "Oh WTF"? I want my five minutes back.
I really disliked the bearded dude. He was obviously acting outrageous for TV... but none of it was funny. Lose him, and it's a definite watch.
I meant to say AMC but I dunno what my brain was thinking. It seems like the only COOL stuff or geeky stuff is on Spike.
Believe it or not, he is an important part of the podcast, which has very little to do with actually running a comic book shop oddly.
