I paid for another month. I have my Agent/sniper at 29 waiting for my friends to catch up and I hit 22 with my Inquisitor/sorcerer.

 

I just switched from Slicing to Diplomacy as I need Medical crafting supplies on demand more then money now, only to find the awesome side benefit of generating large quantites of discount companion gifts whilst grinding it up. I've gaining more influence with Quinn in 2 days then in the last 2 weeks and got Vette far enougth to get an actual quest out of her.

I'm a bit on the fence about Alderaan at the moment. On the plus side it looks gorgeous and the planet story is generally interesting. On the minus, it seems a bit too big for the amount of content so far and I got virtually no XP for the the first area because NS and Tatooine overlevel your character for this planet if you do everything.

 

I pretty much had to skip alderaan because I was overlevel'd from tat. Really wish they could adjust that somehow.

 

I bought a 6 month sub since I decided that would be a good amount of time to see what BW would do to develop it/keep players.

Thing I hate though is that I tried running ops on ilum since I capped and it is just unplayable on my machine. Think it was something like 30 v 30 and I was getting like 2fps on my current machine...just not playable.

Sucks cause ops looks like it could be the funnest part about this game after you cap.

 

I finished up at much of the storyline as I can solo I think, everything else now leads to flashpoints and I rarely have time when I get a group. So I've been rep-grinding my companions. Did Vette first, got married and then got a sex quest. That was fun.   I hope some of the others have a few quests that are more than just short convos.

 

Got my +10 to all stats Datacrons last night. That was fun.

 

My griefer clan is going great. We've got some lvl 50's in it and I've been pvp'ing my ass off. If anyone wants to join on a main or an alt we should have all the crafting stuff needed to help gear each other up. Just let me know here or in game.

 

Completed my class quest line the other night. Still need to finish the big story Flashpoints.

I tried out an Agent last week, went Operative. That was a mistake. I couldn't find a good playstyle and the class felt confused to me, like it was trying to be three things at once. Left off around 15 and rolled a Bounty Hunter, that's way more fun. Currently on Balmorra, rocket punching dudes in the nuts.

 

Well my Scoundrel must have got nerfed the last patch, Can rarely ever get a 2.5k crit in PVP now.

 

Hi guys i have two questions for everyone playing this game. 1. Is it absolutely necessary to play with other people or can i solo most of the content? 2. Is it possible to play with a controller instead of keyboard since i'm a console kind of guy? Thanks much to all that answer.

 

You can solo through to 50 just fine. I mostly did that. You can't do flashpoints- at least not at the appropriate level. Same for most Heroic quests. You'll miss a fair bit of story that way, but it's not essential class story.

Controllers- no. MMOs in general require a keyboard. You have too many abilities you need to use and controllers don't have enough buttons. By max level you're looking at 15-20 skills to use on top of movement and camera controls. Plus separate controls for inventory, crew skills, talents, etc.

 

Woohoo!!! I finally got my collector's edition preorder! Now all i need is a decent computer to play it on and im not sure if i'll keep the darth malgus statue and i'm kinda confused since the case has space for 4 disks yet there are only 3 disks, unless that's just how the case is made

 

Well, I got my tax refund and bought the collector's edition last night. Right now I have a lvl 4 cyborg smuggler on Correlian Run.

 

I hate to make a post seeing that I made the one before, but is there any sort of "Elitist Jerks" type website where you can learn all about your class, etc. yet? The website, Elitistjerks.com is really useful for world of warcraft players, and I'm hoping that there is or will be an equivalent for SWTOR.

 

I haven't heard of one yet. I was able to google up some talent builds but I pretty much forgot about them and just picked fun stuff. I think sithwarrior.com is something of a decent resource but I'm pretty much treating this like a single player game right now.

 

I'll probably see this as a single player game until I hit 50 or so at most. Though the equivalent of dungeons sound good as well with other people.
