I’ve rewatched a few episodes on my DVR.
This may have been covered when the episode was new, but I have a question about The Forest of Magi Oar.
During his time in the forest Lion-O can’t use the Sword of Omens against the spirits or Viragor.
At first he thinks that they have some type of enchantment over the Sword, but he then realizes that he can’t use the sword against them because they are not evil.
I realize that was a prime concept of the original series, but it’s really the first and only time it’s mentioned in the new show.
It also brings into question how the sword could be used against other Thundercats for training and such as we saw in the first episode.

But I wonder how the Sword of Omens attained this ‘can’t be used against good’ quality.
In the original series it was obviously because of the will of the Eye of Thundera.
But in this series the Eye of Thundera was originally called the Warstone.
And Mumm-ra had stolen it and obviously had designs to use it.
Mumm-ra is pure evil, so at one time the Eye of Thundera had to be accessible by anyone.
I wonder how it changed.

It would be cool if there is some flashback episode explaining this –maybe involving Leo!

I don’t remember it that way at all.
The original two seasons of Justice League got a lot of advertising and good timeslots on CN, but when it switched to Justice League Unlimited that was not the case.
It got two or three new episodes, then no new shows for weeks or months, then two new episodes.
Then repeats.
Then it was gone.
Then new episodes without any announcement they were coming.
Then repeats.
Then gone again.

 

I was really surprised by how Tygra acted at the end, jealous of how Lion-o got the sword of Omans and hitting on Cheetara. At the beginning, he acted all noble and mature; I didn't think he could be such a sore loser.

 

So was I at first. But technically winter started on December 20 (or 21, I think it moved) and should last 3 months, so March would be it.

 

Sorry yeah, meant to say JL and JLU, the initial eps were aired fairly regularly, but towards the end, the last season airdates were a bit wonky, but I think that holds fairly true for most cartoons these days that are coming to an end. I'm just surprised that these new shows are still starting out and yet their airdates are so unpredictable.

I remember when I first heard about the show’s rebranding, the stories being shortened to one episode, and that the number of heroes was going to drastically increase I was afraid it would be terrible.
But then I watched it and found that I liked it more than the original series but at the same time I was completely frustrated with how difficult it was to find it to watch.

And for the record, I was trying to find out if my memory was wonky, or if maybe you lived in a territory that aired them in a better manner.
But looking at my text now it seems more like I’m just trying to prove you were wrong.
I didn’t mean to have that tone.  

Based on the expanded story revealed from the flashbacks I would say that Tygra has a very good reason to hit on Cheetara.
Also, you know, look at her!

 

Agreed! Tygra has cared for Cheetara since they were cubs, Lion-O just assumes that she would want him..pffffffttttt...I was thrilled and glad she chose Tygra!

Oh another note, dang!! We have to wait that long for another episode? Snap!

 

Want to see it already  
Even TFP starts soon again, but I want to see Thundercats much more  

 

I am pretty sure I just saw a new episode, and it was on RTE 2 here in Ireland.

I woke up at 08:45 and my tv was on with Thundercats, I think I only missed the first 5 minutes.
I definitely have never seen any of this stuff before.

Lion-O was using the new Spirit Stone, and Mum Ra got himself two new generals: "Kaynar and Atticus" (spelling who are a monkey and jackalman respectively) because the Lizards started to desert him.

Panthro got his robot arms from the Berbils

Big fight at the end and the cats only escape when new arms Panthro joins the battle after the generals had the others beaten

Is this new ?

What became of the Lion-O/Tygra/Cheetara love triangle? Any mention of Grune?

 

Regarding the Love Triangle

It was brought up a few times, at first Lion-O told them both that he was happy for them, which they were shocked and glad to hear.
Cheetara thanked Tygra for watching her back in the fight just before Tygra says somthing along the lines of "It is a nice back to watch" and the kids did not want to hear that.
Then later Lion-O confronts Cheetara over all the times previously where she appeared to be getting closer to him and she reveals that Jaga asked her to look out for and help Lion-O, but that she does care about Lion-O, just as a close friend. Lion-O storms off to fight some lizards alone after this.
Which is where the big fight with the new generals happens, first Tygra and cheetara arrive, telling Lion-O they can't let him do it alone.
So overall he is not over it by any means.

And A funny moment in the episode was that at first the Berbils gave Panthro tiny Berbils, Furry arms, which he was not happy with.

No mention of Grune, though it might have been mentioned at the start of the episode which I missed, I assume the Lizards leaving and new generals are in response to what happened to Grune.

same thing happened to me I just caught the last few minutes, did anyone record it or do we even have any idea what episode it could be in season 2?

 

I think it has to be episode 14 or 15, as it deals with many of the things brought up by episode 13.

Thundercats is also on tomorrow morning, so I guess we will see tomorrow where things stand.

I have no way of recording the episode sadly

 

rte used to show episodes all the time before america with pokemon and yu-gi-oh. I thought they had stopped all that years ago. I knew they were airing it but I thought they'd stop at 13 I guess they bought the first 26 and just decided to go ahead, good for us lol
