It reminds me of the Diaclone box art I have seen.

    I like it :rock

It actually looks like the TV show, even though it's not CGI.

Actually, the moniter showing the darksyde is actually a clip from the show.
Also if this is prior to entering the transwarp, why is it showing the Darksyde leaving transwarp? unless the axalon hasn't warped yet (there was a 2 sec wait).

Nope, that is new art, not a cgi scene. It shows the Darksyde just as it is about to turn and go into the wormhole.

Wicked box art! The exclusive set this year is really something, everyone involved really has gone above and beyond the call of duty to make what will no doubt be a memorable set (and my favourite to date - just wish I could get one >.>)

Did anybody else notice that the ship name is actually PART of the character's names (i.e. Axalon Optimus Primal, etc)?

I've got to be honest. I'm not that enthused about the art this year. I think it's because last year's really harkened back to the murals on G1 boxes, with a very dynamic battle scene. This year it's just a bunch of dudes sitting around.

That said, this year's set looks much better overall than last year's, and I'll happily take better toys and worse box art over great box art and disappointing toys.

KD pretty much expressed what I was going to say on this. As long as the box is nice and sturdy like lasts years though I could care less what it looks like.

As long as the toys are awesome (which they are) that's all that matters :D

    And your point being???

I see your point Kid, but I'd like to point out that you can't really have an outer space battle scene with 'bots flying around because thats not what happened at the start of Beast Wars. Beast Wars began with a space ship chase and battle scene. I think it would have been far more odd if each factions 'bots were flying around, shooting at each other.

I think I get what your feeling but it just wouldn't have been appropriate IMO. Besides, this is a very appropriate mural and a very cool one IMO too.

I love BW but never had any inclination to collect the toys. I think these are the best exclusives or limited TF figures produced so far. Major kudos to the club.

Just makes me wonder, what they will have for next year? This stuff is pretty darn good. I feel fairly confident in saying the club is in good hands and the fandom is gonna get treated pretty well.

    Excellent artwork. Looks gorgeous!

All around, I have to say this year's set is much more attractive to a non-attendee than last year. And no, it's not just because there are a lot of show characters (though that does help). Except for the unfortunately blue on Dinotbot (sorry, I do not like it), everything is fairly well done.

Good job on listening to criticisms last year, Pete....I still think there is plenty of room to improve on some of the colors, but overall great job!

That artwork... looks pretty darned bad... reminds me of the early G1 boxart... Still, I'm getting the cool toys, and that's what really matters...
