Speaking of TF Prime, what's the consensus about which is the better version for Voyager Optimus, the Takara or Hasbro? I've seen them both now up close, the Takara seemed like the colors were much richer but is it enough to justify the higher price tag? Does anyone here have both and can share their opinion on respective quality? I l almost bought it twice already, but want to make sure I get the best option (note: I had to rebuy a bunch of Animated once the Takara versions came out as they looked so much better, and I don't want to make that mistake again).

That's very true, and I shouldn't have spoken in such generalizations about the entire center, there are no doubt many honest merchants there. There are some however that are predatory, and especially target tourists. So in addition to your excellent points I would just stress again the importance of not buying goods in Singapore that don't have printed prices.

That would extend even to food at Hawker stalls! Newton Food court is infamous for ripping off tourists, charging them hundreds of dollars for fish and only telling them the price after they've eaten and are handed the bill. There was a high profile case here a few years ago where the tourists were charged $239 for a handful of prawns and the police were even called!

I think reactions have been mixed? The lighter grey plastic on hasbro's is actually more show accurate imo, but i prefer takara's overall darker colours.
If i'm gonna own one of a mold, i usually get the one i like better regardless.

 

Yup a few more soaks and it'll be sparkling white? Does the hydroperoxide only react with the white bits?

What about the coloured parts? The black looks to be a bit washed out.
