Hasbro cancelled the US FE line, including TFW's US Sponsors.

People are hoping this ends up like the end of RtS, & the [US] discount outlets like Marshals gets them at some point.

I dont think it will happen because they were never in the US like RTS was, so I dont see the US discount stores getting them??????

Explain Windcharger then? He was in the exact same boat as the FE's. I'm still waiting for Rumble & Frenzy to show up.

On his own this version is not so bad, sure the arms have a gap but once clipped in all they way its not too bad. He is however shorter and no Canon arms...but just as fun to deal with as FE figure. So far I've enjoyed all the figures and rank him well above rid bb.

^ This is the thread for the FE figure, bro, not the PRiD figure.

This version makes the PRID one look like an embarrassing failure.

^ Except the PRiD Cliffjumper is an awesome figure and is far more fun to play with than the FE figure.

Comparing the transformation of the main line one and the FE one I can't really justify saying that. At best, the RID one has better legs...and that's it. The gorilla proportions is way too much, the shoulders look weak and atrophied, and the arms look really bad. The FE figure's arms give a real sense of bulk without making them look just like parts of a car banged together with a hand sticking out of the end. It's just not a very good looking figure as a whole compared to the FE. As a fan of the alt mode, a mash up of the Plymouth 'Cuda and a Dodge Challenger, I really love how the alt mode is relatively whole. Sure there's transformation seams but they're not too bad, whereas the alt mode on the main line one has these UGLY UGLY holes that really make the thing look like it's been shot up.

Classic muscle cars deserve better than having huge, giant holes that aren't even hidden molded into them...

The FE figure isn't perfect...but it's definitely better than the main line one. More humanoid proportions, better arms, and better alt mode, with a comparable transformation. For me at least, the winner is crystal clear...the FE toy.

^ I actually just noticed my mistake, Gilgamesh was talking about the looks of each figure, not the fun-factor.

Regardless, I will continue! From a technical perspective, the FE figure looks better and has better articulation. However, from a playability perspective, the FE figure has a far less dynamic sculpt than the RiD figure. It's difficult to make the FE figure not look like he's disinterested in what you're trying to make him do, while the RiD figure looks like he's completely enthusiastic about every pose.

To put why this is important into perspective, consider curling iron arms. They're a simple matter of sculpting the hand the wrong way. Hands are small and it SHOULD be easy enough to ignore the issue, yet in this fandom this issue is actually a pretty significant thing, it screws with how we perceive poses and makes them look less natural.

While the sculpting on the RiD figure typically isn't as nice as on the FE figure, it's done in such a way that it's easier to perceive that he is actually doing the action of the pose, which makes him more engaging for the imagination and a more fun figure, even though he does have quite a few technical problems.

I see where you're coming from. I can't really argue against that. I generally take a more technical stance when analyzing my figures. I mean, I have a lot of fun with good or bad figures, so for me it's all about the technical aspects. In that case the main line one definitely falls short.

Oh yeah, from a purely technical aspect, the RiD figure is lacking and the FE is amazing.

i have a japan FE cliffjumper, initially i was having a hard time getting the car mode to all click together, seems its something to do with getting the thighs in an exact position under the car then everything clicks in and holds.

I keep wanting to mention this, but has anyone else noticed that Cliffjumper has EIGHT exhaust pipes? Two silver ones on each side plus two just molded in red on the backside. Oops. :lol
