Anyone know how if the hips are ratcheting? This is the main thing I am interested in.

As for the fingers, they fall off on the CD set as well.

 

There is much contradictory info on this set on its compatibility. Will it, or won't it, work with the G1 and KO sets out of the box? Very confusing. I would hate to get this and find out it only works properly with Encore (which I don't plan to buy)!

 

what about the Transformers TFC-JB07 Devastator Upgrade Parts kit?

 

i was thinking of getting one for my high quality KO. we dont know if it works yet?

the arms on my KO wont hold the hands anymore, the just slip out all the time.

I just got mine in the mail. Everything fits the original G1 Devy very snug... However, the hip ratchets aren't nearly tight enough to hold the upper body up in different poses. He just wants to fall back. The fingers... Oh the fingers... Jeez,it's not the whole finger, just the tips, and these things fall off with a blow of your breath. I almost lost three taking them out of the box, so forget even trying to put the gun in his hand! Lastly, his cod shield is off colored slightly more yellow and sticks out against the green pretty well. All in all it's good but not great. I need to see what kind of fixes I can do to those issues, mainly the fingers.

 

Got mine and it's on it's way back to BBTS. Very, Very bad add-on. First, the finger tips will not stay on and have stress marks on the attachment hooks. Secondly, the left leg upper thigh swivel joint was extremely loose. Lastly, which really upsets me, the connector for the head and upper body, does not stay on Hook, and actually rubbed chrome off of my Encore figure. Such a disappointment, and cheaply made...I will stick with CrazyDevy.

 

Mine has decent thighs, but the connector for the head does not fit on Hook at all. Just keeps sliding off.

 

ill do a full pictorial review this weekend for you guys and explain everything i did to rectify any compatibility issues i had. i have this set for my original G1 devi. i will say the finger tips are very easily removed; nothing some hot glue cant fix. overall, i would say this is a must buy without hesitation. dont even think about it. 46 shipped from ebay is a hell of a deal. great quality materials and design. not perfect, but improves G1 devi 100 fold. it actually makes him look like a mini masterpiece. the purple is a shade or 2 off from the G1 purple, but the green is dead on. the difference in purple is so minute, you cannot even see it in pictures. GET THIS SET!!!!!!! ZedzDead

 

How'd you fit the head bracket on to your Hook? Mine simply would not stay on. Granted mine is an Encore, but there should be no diff.

 

just got mine, inspected it quickly, all fingers are intact, head is there, as is all the other pieces. Quality seems okay. Can't wait to put it on my encore devy tonight!

hopefully i'll be able to say that the earlier negative feedbacks are overblowing the minor flaws ...... cross my fingers.

 

Just finished putting it together. It fits alright on an encore. The head bracket piece is a little tight when getting on hook but it went on. The fingers weren't very tight but none fell off when I was gingerly putting on the gun. Once put together it's not stable at all and is kind of hard to pose. I liked the original breast plate better and was able to use that instead. Despite all this it looks wonderful and I like devys new look.

 

That waist part is an awful color match. It's the part I hated most about this kit really, the style is just weird - let alone the melty chest shield.

What green is that piece supposed to match? It looks yellow.

 

Yes I noticed it and forgot to mention the crotch plate. The encores crotch plate also has a paler green, and I think that they're trying to match that color but it turned out more on the yellow side than green side. It is definitely not as apparent in person.

 

Yeah that crotch plate is an eye-sore... hopefully JB's set will be better. I was actually lookin at JB's set and I noticed they are including something to make him stand. I noticed something like heel spurs.. also price is cheaper than X-transbots but that worries me in some ways. You know what they say, "you get what you pay for".

 

Oddly enough, the new crotch plate matches the colour of my original G1. This set fits perfectly, only slight complaint was the gun barrel is somewhat droopy, but the price I paid shipped was less than the shipping cost alone for some overseas places. A real bargain.

 

Got mine a few days ago,
Only issue i have with mine is he's hard to stand up, balance wise.
No loose parts at all. they are very tight fit, used him on my Encore set, for the price it's great.
Looks way better than the JB kit (IMO)

 

odd, i have mine on G1 Devey and the crotch piece still sticks out like an eyesore color wise.


glad some of you didnt have any finger problems. it's a real pain!

does anyone have a fix for the finger problem? i saw a mention of a hot glue gun, but i dont want them immobile.

i got mine for $15 total with free shipping on eBay so it was still way worth it. of course there was a giftcard and ebaybuck involved.

 

took more pictures tonight with an actual camera. I put nail polish on the finger joints and the shoulder connector for neckbreaker. Also, the right knee was mis-assembled but easily fixed. I feel with the fix it is now a solid figure, and nothing falls off when I pick it up.
