What's going to happen to the original Vehicon mold? That hasn't been released yet, right?

 

After seeing this become somewhat official news, I ran out earlier tonight and bought the First Edition's of Prime, Bulkhead, Cliffjumper, Bumblebee & Starscream. Thankfully there were multiples of all of them just sitting there in TRU.

I haven't decided if I even want to collect this line yet, but there's no way I'm possibly missing the FE's and getting stuck with those awful RID versions instead. Better safe than sorry, I suppose.

 

I'm resisting my gut feeling to "hate" on this person.

So basically, unless Hasbro just so happens to put these molds out again in the main line I won't be buying much of TFP. That's all there is to it.

Well...I got my wave one deluxes and I'm gonna get Wheeljack and Soundwave from RiD wave 1 and probably Megatron but DAMN if I wasn't counting on FE Prime and Bulkhead! Especially Bulkhead! He's my favorite character on the show and I really hope they just reuse the FE mold for the RiD voyager!

Wow now prices have shot up on ebay and amazon. I was going to buy today but now the prices are rediculous.

 

Maybe this is a side tangent, but does anyone remember when we used to get toys BEFOREthe show they were connected to hit the air? I was willing to believe the snapoo they had with Animated was because of some kind of corporate cluster they had with Cartoon Network, but the HUB is their network and the release of product should have been worked out to hit the day the show premiered or just before like with the movies. Doesn't take a genius. Marketing 101... just saying.

Well, hopefully they'll recycle the molds for use in the RID line. I could definitely see them reissuing the Bulkhead and Optimus mold at the least.

 

Glad I got the deluxes, but it is really disappointing that Prime and Bulkhead are going to be unattainable. What a bewildering business pattern this line has had.

 

So we lose the sexy first editon figures, and instead get the not so nice RID ones?

Not mad, only cliff jumper was better, we have Soundwave, improved vehicon, improved bumble bee, improved agree, wheeljack to look foreward to that will be getting an accellerated release. We morn prime and bulkhead which will most likely have another mold before its said and done. So I'm all for it
