How people are that obsessed with things they DONT like. In all seriousness, when i strongly dislike something i try to stay away from it...otherwise, id get very annoyed. Id like to be a major talker on something i REALLY like. Like these movies
Well, aren't you just little Mister Sunshine. The bolded part is something you don't know at all. Pleasing a franchise's fanbase while also creating a successful film based on said franchise is not impossible. See Nolan's Batman and Favreau's Iron Man. Someday, a good director shall rise from the filmmaker ranks and use the power of his imagination to light our darkest hour.
So basically this thread is "I'm sick of the fact that people out there don't like the same things I do and say so." Seriously, why SHOULDN'T people be just as free to post vitriolic shallow criticisms of something as other are to post blind apollogetic laudatory comments?
Threads like these don’t help matters. They just serve to antagonise, nothing more. Each to his own and all that. If people want to bash flames on Prime, then let them. In contrast, if people want to compliment the flames on Prime, then let them. I just have a serious problem when either side start to insult the intelligence or anything else of the other side. That’s when it goes too far and becomes vindictive and nasty, not to mention pretty and immature. That's when people get added on to the 'Ignore' list.
Because humans fear and hate people that have different opinions and appearances than themselves. For example: almost every conflict in history.
That's crazy your crazy and my cavalry forces are on their way But seriously, I can't fathom why there have been so many threads, in the movie forum especially, about how people from both sides are so incensed it's not an echo chamber, and that people have differing opinions on the films. Granted, there can be surprisingly little discussion in this part of the discussion forum...
And also attack what they don't understand. Quick to the Arc, and make sure the enemy doesn't have a ship either.
No i just plainly posted this because i cant enjoy something with everyone bitching about it, its like a movie. Your watching a movie you've waited so long for and its ruined by the 4 crying babies around you, the annoying teenagers sitting behind you doing all sorts of annoying crap, the evil little kid that keeps kicking your seat, the old guy that snores as if he had a megaphone in his face, and that fat annoying guy that keeps pointing out every damn thing in the film.
If you can't enjoy something unless everyone universally also loves it, prepare for a joyless and crushing existance. You're basically describing a forum where only users who agree with you are allowed to post, and fuck that.
Yeah, not everyone enjoys the same thing, it is what makes us different from one another. And look not all of us like the same series but we haven't actually killed each other yet!
