The sky is very debatable since there are quite a few people in the know that claim it is indeed blue. They say it's the dust being blown around that makes it appear yellow. Just google it. There are a few sites that are more conspiracy BS than anything else, but there are some good sites talking about it.

 

actually, the sun is pretty low in the skies in those clips, go to NASA's site and find some color pictures of sunsets on Mars... note the color of the sky.

I thought it was pretty good. Didn't expect to see much but it sets up the movie nicely...

 

Not to derail this thread, but the sky isn't blue because of reflecting water molecules, no matter how much people like to think it is. It's blue becaues the atmosphere has a high nitrogen content.

I do agree, though, that the scene in generally didn't look very Mars-like at all; at the very least the sky should have been darker as Mars has a very thin atmosphere which wouldn't diffuse sunlight as much our own.

 

All I see is the page that has been around for the last month or so. *Sigh* Guess I'll just have to wait 'till I see the swashbuckling adventure POTC 2. And why is everyone complaining that it looks rubbish? They only started filming this time last month, and you are having a laugh if you think the CGI Robots are all finished. Spidey 3 however has been filming since November So obviously it would have WAY more footage.

OK, it finally finshed loading, and I have to say I am very disappointed, though probably not for the same reasons some of you are.

The teaser itself is fairly paint by numbers, and from the first seconds you can tell this is going to be an alien invasion film. But they play it too straight. They try too hard to make it ominous. You expect to see... I dunno, War of the Worlds (again), something with serious pedigree. But when the name of a toyline pops up... it just doesn't work for me, and I imagine it will leave a lot of people laughing. Shouldn't we have been giving something more... fun? Something that might conjure up fond memories and excite those who grew up with the toys, but maybe haven't thought about them in years? This uber-serious approach just seems to strike the wrong tone.

Just imagine the following teaser:

A dark, stormy night.
A shadowy figure - a woman -runs through a pasture.
"Alone"
She is carrying a bundle in her arms.
"Helpless"
She finds a small shelter from the storm. She kneels, places the bundle on the floor to reveal a small baby.
"The child's desting lies in her hands"

CRAP!!!!! I waited 15 mins and it sucked!!! Now Spidey 3 was a teaser trailer that ROCKED!!!!

I would have rather not seen anything ;(

The whole blue thing is odd looking. Especially with the blue of the earth behind the quicktime movie on the teaser poster on Transformerslive.com. Its even a little bluish green in some places with wispy white clouds. It just isn’t realistic, I’m sorry. Even when the shuttle is in space beginning its descent, you can see Mars as completely reddish-brown-tan. There isn’t a hint of blue from outer space. Then it lands and you see white wispy clouds and a blue sky.

I’m surprised that a stray dog wasn’t accidentally shot in the far background with a movie guy chasing it down. You have to pay attention to detail. The weird thing is the irony. After how adamant Michael Bay was that there be no mass shifting to keep the movie as real as possible, he overlooks a detail like this.

 

I JUST WANT TO POINT OUT THAT WE'RE DEBATING IF THE SKY IS BLUE. IN A TRANSFORMERS MOVIE TEASER.

Ok just saw it ( if you google it , you can watch it elsewhere) if desperate for a taste of it.

It's seemed ok ,and pretty basic.
Looks to be a decent and entertaining movie, just not a revolutionary or spectacular one.

Feels like a typical Bay movie really , which is'nt bad.
Still I think he's doing a good job so far for a person not as tuned into the TF world as us, and seems to be busting his ass over making it.
Pretty stoked.

The Spiderman 3 trailer was better becasue they had more to work with, and to relate with the other 2 movies (OMG his suit is black now)
To be fair, this is just the first TF teaser, and at this point the content is so limited and new , Bay can't show us too much without giving too much away, since it's in the beginning for the whole thing. Wait unti the TF's is on it's 3rd movie and it may be as exciting as that Spiderman 3 trailer. That is if Spiderman 5 or 6 does'nt outshine it again in a few years heh

I think the Spiderman 3 teaser trailer is way more entertaining than the Spiderman 1 teaser trailer.
