But yeah, I would love for a team like fanswantit (which seems to focus on movie stuff) to take this on as their next gig. I love what they did for Starscream, but it seems like they got even better with Ironhide's guns. They could definitely pull this off!

Man, there's gonna be someone on every page of these delayed DOTM figure threads asking when they come out.

I guess I don't blame you guys. The delay really sucks.

 

These were supposed to be out in December. I'm really disappointed. We're missing Que, Deluxe what's his name with the belly tires, and this guy, plus his Deluxe counterpart.

I never even saw AirRaids in stores.   All I see is a million of the usual stuff that has been out since Early summer. The delay is because they haven't sold very many of those.

 

The DotM line was short-changed on a lot of stuff, mostly paint, but also availability of characters, and now this ridiculous delay, which is being overshadowed by the new Prime figures. If anything, they should have been in a RUSH to get these figures out before Prime took over!

I'm still holding my breath for a deluxe Mirage/Dino, a leader DotM Megs, and maybe even a Clovercon toy! Damn would that be awesome. Seems like RotF had a figure for almost every character that appeared, and they were all well painted.

 

Honestly once Soundwave gets here I think I'll stop collecting movieverse, with maybe a few exceptions. Hasbro just took too long releasing this line, and I'm too pumped for Prime which is looking fantastic. But what a better way to end this era than this Human Alliance figure of my favorite TF!

 

^ True - this delay is ridiculous & I don't get why all the characters in ROTF had figures (Skids & Mudflap got both their IC Truck & individual toys in DLX & LEG classes, then both got HA of their smart car molds), but this movie can't even roll out all of the main cast in ONE size class?

 

I wonder did they choose to release only popular characters because of the degree of shelf warming some figures did in ROTF (twins comes to mind, I still see some of them in extreme discount in local stores).

Sad really, some should not have been delayed (leader megs and shockwave would've been really really nice).

That said, I recall hearing licensing issues with Ferrari leading to dino never released, and same was the reason for the delay for the 2 benz cars.

 

It's probably different everywhere, but in my area it was only the non-movie movie line figures that were shelf warmers for RotF. In DotM I see millions of Roadbusters, BBs, voyager Optimuses, and HA basics.

I agree that those leader figs would have been awesome! There's still hope....

That's such a lame and annoying reason to not have a Dino figure. At the very least make a deluxe with a similar alt mode, like they unfortunately had to do with Sideways. We want to see the character in plastic!

 

How long will they be delayed for? Why doesn't anybody know? If there was ONE single TF3 figure I was REALLY interested in, it's HA Soundwave. Seriously, it needs to get out there.

I suppose there's always evilbay, where I can buy one at a ridiculous price, only to not like it and resell it at half less the value.


Should I be patient?

 

Well I got mine off ebay and I don't regret it at all. But then again this isn't the first time I've paid a premium for getting a figure early. It hurts at first, but once you get the figure all the hurt goes away...

Although if you're convinced you won't like it, then your choice should be easy! I love this figure despite the crap paint and jank legs.

I paid premium prices for Voyger Sentinel Prime and in ROTF for Voyager Megs, which were then spotted in the wild one week later. And they were both underwhelming. I'm sure I'll like this dude, he looks super boss, but...I ought to just be patient.

 

I just got mine off ebay and its great, I never had any issues with transformation... or anything else the reviewers claimed... The only issue I got with mine is the doors is kinda easy to pop off, still it is amazing and in my opinion, it is my fav human alliance figure, and it clearly is the best human alliance of the DOTM line....

Also I can see the complaint on the lack of silver paint but it makes sence because the plastic constantly is rubbing against something so if it was painted expect ton of scratches all over the vehicle mode and the silver isn't bad at all, the best comparison is its the same silver plastic as original Deluxe Jazz from from the first movie line except its molded better, and is slightly shinier for Soundwave.

Honestly I am love with it, and its great to end my collection with it, I may extended my collection later but right now I see a real no need....

Anyways I digress, short story the things I like about the figure is how the hulky figure shrinks into the alt mold, the robot mode (despite the leg inaccuracies) does really look like a robot from Micheal Bay's movie, and the alt mode (when transformed properly that is) really looks nice and sleek, a real scale model with no large gaps visible, considering the other Human Alliance figures either get the scaling slightly wrong or has too much visible gaps.... Also the human figure must be the only one that is closest to the movie appearance... And while Laserbeak isnt great at least he changes to a shoulder cannon.

I am giving it 10/10.

 

Probably the thing I love most about this figure is his gulled wing doors. They are so awesome looking and the car itself in the movie was cool looking. I'll probably be picking up both this Soundwave and the deluxe one if they every get released in the US. Here's hoping that Hasbro does decide to release these soon.

 

And I thought I was the only one with this problem... annoying sometimes, but not fatal.

I'm also iffy on painting it silver because of all the parts that'd rub against each other and end up rubbing paint off... so still undecided.

Laserbeak was a bit of a disappointment but I'm thinking if there's any minor mods that can make it a lot better (like disjoining the legs from the wings)

 

I got mine from Taiwan and its a Hasbro version and oddly enough it say on the packaging that its meant for sale and distribution in Australia only, so some how I got the Australian release... So it seems it is in production for US and Australia....
