Certainly seems that way, I'm not too bothered, I already purchased Cliffjumper, and Starscream/Bumblebee both have releases in the RiD line confirmed already but I do hope we don't miss out on voyager Bulkhead and Optimus.

 

Thanks for the pictures! The package looks awesome, I like how it looks like the Generations packaging with character artwork on the top of the card. Looking forward to the mainline's release. 

 

I think Wheeljack is likely to show up in America very soon so the time he'd spend in the post to American it will have probably have showed up - I'd not be at all surprised if it's listed on the Hasbro Toyshop or BBTS soon and the latest I can see it being is March.

So you will be paying a lot just to get it very slightly earlier. and you won't have a bio on your toy's packaging either.

Anyway that aide the good thing about this toy is he remindes me a fair bit of the new Stratos and it's prototype :

If there's no FE toys available, i wouldn't necessarily blame Hasbro UK for it.

UK and Irish retailers are slow to put out new stock Nov-March ish, so there'd be not much point in them ordering them from the manufacturer for a just before xmas launch.

Consequently, they may have missed the window in which those toys were manufactured.

If they're skipping to RID, it's probably because it was what they could get for the launch of the line.

And though it's not identical (no bit about blasters on the inlay) it looks pretty similar otherwise I think it always said Transformers Prime on the top of the card we just couldn't see it as it had been chopped off in the photo in that Hasbro factory expose.

I wondered if TRU-UK might get them since they are (more or less) semi-exclusive to TRU in North America too.

It might be worth writing to them as suggesting they stock them.. I think the Voyagers will show up though in the UK with no problems via Argos.

Also it's not impossible that the First Edition toys might get repacked - this happened before with some Energon toys they shipped on black and also on red cards. and also with Armada where some items were in normal and then repacked in Unicron battle packaging (mostly Minicons) there was even some exclusives sold in two completely different lines some Universe 1.0 some not.

 

How come there is no news for TakaraTomy version of Wheeljack?

 

I'm gusseing that he's being kept secret for the Japanses market for now.

 

Hope that he will be release soon under the Jap version

 

^FYI, the main-line for TF: Prime Japanese figs get a domestic release sometime in March. And since Wheeljack is somewhat being kept as a mysterious character, I would not be surprised if he was released a couple months later say sometime in May?
