    The Guinness Book of World Records holds that Jon Brower Minnoch (1941-1983) was the heaviest. man. EVAR., and tipped the scales at 1,397 lbs (that's 635kg or 100 stone for you non-Americans).

    If you watch the Discovery Channel or the Learning Channel regularly on the weekends, chances are you'll see a documentary about some landwhale that easily surpasses the 600 pound mark.
