Answer me this: are those wing suits not hilarious? They're little people flying through the air. The way they stick their arms and legs out like that kills me. Like aerodynamic gingerbread men. No, snow-angels. Honestly, out of all the outlandish aspects of the movie, they are the silliest and most amusing to me, and yet they're real. I know the sequence was supposed to be cool, and it was very much so the first time, but on repeated viewings I just can't help but giggle. I just want to get a big net and catch them like butterflies. I want Simmons in a wing suit for TF4. "One man... Alone... flying above the country he loves..."
These Flights suits were badass once i saw Nick Fury use one in The Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Also I Totally agree Splits, Simmons needs to fly.
I think the most interesting aspect of the squirrel suits is that they need parachutes to land. If they ever made versions you could actually land in they'd be the perfect infiltration tool. But those parachutes make them pretty noticable.
I think it's kind of like trying to rely on just brakes to stop a drag racer. It just doesn't work that way. You need a shoot to slow down first. It would be cool, though, if it was physically possible to just glide down and land.
Yeah, I guess you're right. Maybe if they made the "membrane" longer, but then they'd end up bigger and more of a target.
I couldn't help but chuckle every time I see one of the Decepticon ships zapping a few of them out of the air.
When I watch in IMAX 3D the moment, when they jumped from a helicopter with sound of propeller strikes on the air and knock the heart, it was damn awesome... The most awesome thing that could make people in the Film!
I laugh at everything (even at my wall), but I didn't think that the flight suits were funny. They're a very practical design in one-man flight.
Sadly, the US military would never use these in a combat situation... oh well, suspension of disbelief I guess.
