Classics Soundwave with Blaster repaint.
Anything classics really.

 

MP Ultra Magnus (which will hopefully come out soon after the redundant-to-some MP-11)
Either a return of Alternity or more news on a similarly scaled adult line - Mini MPs?
iGear Iron Hide and Ratchet (and they don't turn out crap)
3rd party MP Soundwave, Shockwave and maybe dinobots (again, please don't turn out like crap)
Encore re-issue G1 Dinobots

If only half of these come true that'll still equate to more than all the TFs I bought in 2011 (which was 4. MP-09, MP-10, United Jazz and United Wheeljack).

Wishful thinking:
Hasbro finally tackle the abuses that are happening in their factories oversees and, you know, maybe ensures all the workers get a decent living wage.
They scrap any notion of a Transformers movie sequel and instead opt to reboot the franchise 5 years down the line with a better director at the helm.

You can actually go into a toy isle and not see dozens of DOTM Bumblebee pegwarming.
TFP figures finally show up in western Ohio.

 

Takara finally reveals how much they are backing the Encore series with major releases such as hmmmm, lets say, 2 combiners and, I dunno, lets say all 5 Dinobots.

Takara steps up their releases of MP figures and we get 2-3 new moulds of iconic/leader characters.

Generations returns with the completion of the 84 cast minus the minibots and then a few surprises that may be just be outside the deluxe box.

TFPrime - heck we are getting a new season so that means new characters which means toys toys toys, I don't have to be optimitic about this one lol.

All in all where 2011 was the year of the 3rd party, 2012 will be the year of HasTak.

 

Hasbro decides that 3rd party companies shouldn't get all the good releases so they start to budge on Generations figures it didn't seem like Hasbro would ever get around to doing.

Needing to build up excitement to make GI Joe their next big film franchise Hasbro does the GI Joe/Transformers crossover line at last.

With plenty of money and plenty of other projects to work on Micheal Bay does not return to the director's chair on Transformers 4 so Paramount is forced to killed the rumor and announce a director.

Cyberfire Repaints of Every Autobot with red eyes.

DOTM Deluxe Mirage Dino released.

Encore and Generations Dinobots are released.

Toys of Non-show Prime characters are made.

Kre-O bring G.I.Joe,MLP, & other Hasbro brands.

2-Pack Generations/Marvel Universe Gears and Black Suited Spider-Man are released!

 

Even though Shadow lied about his affiliation with Hasbro, finding out that his entire list of upcoming transformers will be released by June.
Yes I realize that is more dreaming than optimistic, but it would be nice.  

 

Hasbro giving us news about anything Classics, but especially if they announce (any of) the following as new molds: Arcee, Trailbreaker, Hoist, Springer, Shockwave (Voyager attack helicopter) Galvatron (Voyager or Ultra), Omega Supreme (Voyager for tank only, Leader class to add the rocket and base as extra armor).

Simply confirming a Hasbro release of Frenzy & Rumble, Nemesis Prime and/or Toxitron from RtS Laser Prime and other repaint/remolds of Generations/RtS figures would be nice though.
