I agree with TylerMirage on this, but I think one throwback to the time Knockout wolf-whistled at Optimus wouldn't be too bad.

 

Yet you and so many others are replying to it. Come on. It's a joke. There seems to be a ton of Optimus/Knockout jokes on the net as it is.

Either way though, even if TFs have no gender, can you really imagine Knockout having any sort of relationship with a "female" Transformer other than a professional one? And he still seems to admire Optimus for some reason.

Maybe they named Knockout "Knockout" because he thinks he's one and Breakdown "Breakdown" because that's what he'd have if he catches the vain Con messing with anyone else.

 

Not only NO but HELL NO! Knockout is a metrosexual. But this show doesn't condone, or seem to condone, anything romantic between any robot.

 

Well I don't see it happening AT ALL! The reason why because whille Knockout may be metrosexual the HUb won't allow such content in t because while it's dark,serious and mature it's still a childrens show and content like Knockout hitting on Optimus is too adult for it. Now if it were an adult series however it could be allowed.

I'm suprised about how he didn't hit on Arcee yet because of how she looks in both robot and alt mode!  That's funny because even Rachet said something that's flirting.

Every few months a new thread seems to start with some sexual inuendo. Relationships started with Prime and Elita, continued with Rodimus/arcee, then arcee/ springer. But they always seemed platonic and more as a source of comfort than anything else(it was a kids show) Beast Wars changed things, Transformers making out with each other started with Silverbolt and Black Arachnia. Also rattrap didn't help with all his talk of cybertron porn clubs where the waitresses were missing their torso plates.Since then the fan community has taken it to a whole other level.
Also IDW's Arcee and her gender issues haven't helped things.

Now there seem to be a few different type of fan groups, that always voice their opinions in these threads.
The their robots they don't have gender, so it's not going happen group.
Then the their are clearly male and females, there must be a reason for it group.
The third group who is always wondering why people are obsessing so much over sexuality in a cartoon series about robots.
Then the last group who will just go into threads to inflame both sides so the thread becomes more interesting or is closed

There is no right or wrong in the end since there are now multiple universes and each one seems to have it own rules.
The issue is when one fan decides their favorite version is the right one and the others are wrong.

Now as for the issue at hand Optimus and Knock out, not going to happen.
Reason 1: It's a freaking show for kids!
Reason 2: It's on a children's network
Reason 3: If it happened and some parent figured it out....well it would be soccer moms vs Transformers and as funny as that would be, it would hurt business for hasboro and we would go back to Armada style storytelling.

How is, "It's a freaking show for kids!", dictate wether or not a homosexual character could appear in the show? I'd have no problem with a gay TF, it's just the Christian groups and such that Hasbro would have to deal with I guess.

 

Folks, I think the real question we need to ask the original thread starter is; does it get you excited to think Knockout might hit on Optimus?? If so...well....

Nobody else caters to Christianity anymore. That's why you don't have prayer in schools. That's why public education doesn't teach Creationism. That's why some schools are now teaching gay history. Not everyone in the United States is a Christian and not all Christian's are anti-gay. So why should Hasbro have to bow to a certain section of a religious group even if it is a large one? It still won't affect toy sales. If it did, Hollywood would be broke because a huge U.S. majority of Chrisitians wouldn't see their movies. I have nothing against a gay or lesbian Transformer. I even have nothing against an openly gay or lesbian Transformer. It can still be appropriate for children. Some say it's wrong to tell children that people are gay and lesbian and what these two terms even mean. But it's ok to tell them what straight means even though that's a sexual orientation too. All you have to tell kids is that some people prefer to have romantic relationships with their own sex. You don't have to tell them any more than that and I'm sure that's not going to warp their little minds especially since so many have already seen so much violence and nudity in films and on television anyways. People need to grow up. Really. They need to grow up and appreciate all the diversity the world has to offer instead of hiding in their little make believe boxes.
