So there's speculation about which body people prefer for the Botcon 2012 Metalhawk. But I haven't come across any talk about the head. Metalhawk is an Autobot Pretender, and as such, he can disguise himself inside a human shell. We've been lucky to have had a few updates of Pretender characters, and up until now they've all been Decepticons. Thunderwing, Skullgrin, Sky (Black) Shadow and Bludgeon have all used their shell's head, not the inner robot's head. So what would you prefer? A human head, his inner robot head, or my choice, some sort of swappable head? I'd like the option of the second head packed in so you can PRETENDAAH! and make Metalhawk resemble a mild-mannered Japanese guy
Robot head inspired by the original box art, the anime head had thin antennae, I like the chunky look.
Robot head. Unlike Overlord, who I think had a built-in amount of inevitable disappointment, I think the reception to Metalhawk will be extremely bipolar. I get the impression more people would want a robot head, and I base that on absolutely nothing.
Robot head. The Decepticons all had monster type heads that were definitive of their characters. I can't think of any Autobot human heads that stuck in my memory the way the Decepticons do
I voted human head only. That gives Funpub the chance to combine gimmicks! Nucleon-powered-up Metalhawk but froze him in Pretender mode! ACTION MASTER PRETENDER!
agreed, the Decepticons stand out far more because they're all more monsterous and not just boring human.
I wouldn't mind if they took ideas from both and gave a bit of a hybrid look. However, I would still prefer a robotic head. He's presumably going to be a transforming toy, and thus should reflect his robot form. I don't mind if they add a number of nods to the shell head, but I don't want a literal human face. BTW, when are we getting the next toy revealed?
