Hit Bespa (QP - :peoples:  ) Target while stocking up to host "Christmas II: Revenge of the In-laws" this week/weekend. They are quite decimated. A single Kup stood alone, defending both the Generations AND DotM deluxe pegs. One solitary tattooed BB in the clearance aisle, still at $8.38.

I picked up an Ark at the $14.xx clearance price, and they still have probably 6-8 remaining. I debated on it for a while, then I suddenly got hit in the gut with nostalgia thinking back to not having Metroplex, Trypticon, etc. as a kid and how cool the "base" play-set concept is. Haven't opened it yet.... we'll see.

So the SG concept kills it or that you miss out on the 2008 set, why bother?

I think the head is what turns some people off...3rd party anybody?

I will keep that in mind....now there a reason to pick up the ark.....

I'm weird so I think the Diaclone two-fer colors on RtS OP/SG Magnus as well as the hopes for SG Tracks = Finnish Tracks will be slick.

I'm also weird so I think that this could work out as a kind of G2 Overlord that never was. Or AM Overlord? The Nucleon just reduces the number of alt modes to one?

But -- I really hope this is not the case -- the other sets include Junkions. I'm pretty happy with my Junkion universe so far.

Since I missed out on the first set, the remaining SG figs are of little use. Although supposedly some of the 'SG' figs are supposed to be duel purposed, but unless the alternative use is a direct Classics character, it's unnecessary to me. And I need to learn to quit caring about characters I've never heard of...at least expensive exclusives ones.

That mold only works as Bludgeon. Overlord is not a skeletal samurai and only a third of him was a tank.

If anyone sees the Target Ark for less than half price give me a shout. I'll bite for ten bucks.

St. Anthony Wal-Mart had the five-packs with the green Powerglide for $15 clearance. That's laughable they wanted $30 for those originally.

Say folks, if you are out and about at a TRU if you could peek and see if they have Ratchet or Sideswipe in the Scan series, I am looking for those guys.

Burnsville TRU had Ratchet and BB but they were all wiped out from the BOGO sale before Christmas. They are ... no more.

    But TRU.com might have them.

So no dice on my crazy Nucleon-drugged Overlord idea? :)

Hmmm. I understand that perhaps Bludgeon wasn't the best mold, but it's a Voyager for once! I'm hoping that Ultra Magnus will redeem him.

Only if they're including the Maketoys Tanker set with him. That mold pretty much blows on its own.

So this is probably the only way we're going to get a "classics" Overlord?

    Color me bummed out.

Ya I will miss Kmart only for their clearances. Can't believe they actually had regular shoppers all these years. They were a heavy hitter in the 80's-90ish though at least in Vegas.

They never updated their stores...always felt like the 80s going in there....

The 80s was way better, they use to have a huge toys section in the 80s. At least in Cali where I was growing up, or maybe everything just seemed bigger as a kid. It was probably a dump and I just didn't know it :lol

I think their biggest problem is their stores are usually dumps and their prices are higher than the competition's. Crappy stores plus higher prices isn't typically a recipe for success.

After seeing the frontpage Tempting Toys deal on the 1st Ed. Masterpiece Rodimus for $109 I finally caved and ordered one. Almost $100 off so I couldn't resist even though I'm not a huge "Trailer" guy. I like the color scheme a lot better on the Takara version.

WOW...that's spiffy. Have you ever ordered from them before? I'm on their site right now, but it's not taking the code for some reason........ I am a huge "trailer" guy :)
