As much as I've been wanting to stay away from dealing with MattyCollector.com, I might try and get an Atrocitus when they put him up for sale. Even at $18 plush shipping, he's still pretty tempting. Any tips from MC veterans? In particular, any help guestimating what the shipping could be would be great (haven't had any luck finding anything out on the site).

Nekron lacking his scythe is....pretty disappointing. I might be over-reacting here, but that really takes away the vast majority of the interest I had in him. It completed his look, and the fact that it was his lantern was a great detail. I'll still probably get a figure or two from the wave, but I won't be concentrating on trying to complete Nekron. I might end-up with two, maybe three, C&C pieces, which I'll probably trade on here.

Yes, I have to agree. There is no overreacting when he doesn't come with an accessory that essentially makes the character who he is. I think I'll be looking to get the DCD version now... which will probably be the first DCD figure I get.

Yeah, his Scythe was a key character aspect, not just removing taking away what makes nekron, well, Nekron. Cheap and lame on Mattel's part. There is no excuse for this at all.

Yes there is. The same one we always get: logistics.

Yeah, it's an excuse, but it's a fucking lame excuse. For all the lack of effort that DCUC has been since wave 17 (and let's face it, every wave has been nothing but minimum retools with maybe one "new" figure), not giving us the scythe on the final wave is pathetic.

It's comforting to know that I'm not overreacting over Nekron's scythe. I'm still excited about the Green Arrow and Sinestro figures, and I might end-up getting Red Arrow and the All-Stars Hal. Though part of me is a little disappointed that the Hal in this wave is lacking a lantern. I really like the shiny deco he has, but the lack of his lantern is almost a deal breaker...almost. The lack of a construct I can deal with, but it just feels odd, to me, to have a Lantern character not come with their...lantern.

Are we certain that Nekron doesn't have his sythe? The article on Fwoosh said the big story with Nekron would be the staff, and that was all they said. They did not say that it didnt come with it, necessarily. I'm holding out hope that maybe it's really cool and that's why it's the big story? *Hopeful*

Just need Wonder Woman and Flash. The DC Superheroes Superman and the DC Universe Arkham Batman are my very First DCUC of the 2. I have 3 Superman and 7 Batman all are DCD. So Finally I have them.

ok quick question....is there going to be 2 versions of the AC Harley Quinn...from 2 different manufacturers?

Its a bit confusing trying to keep track of the Arkham City stuff as there seems to be DC Direct and Mattel stuff

edit: also in your opinions...whats the best classic bats, one thats blue and grey with a yellow/black bat symbol, like he wore in Knightfall

Mattel and DC Direct are both releasing an Arkham City Harley Quinn.

It's personal preference, but I prefer black and grey, no yellow oval. Blue Batman is too "Super Friends" for me.

Ken, be prepared for Batman to tower over Superman and Hal. The Matty Arkham Bats is pretty tall compared to DCUC figures.

The ideal Batman look to me is black/grey, pouch belt and no oval emblem, mid-sized ears on the mask and a cape that covers his shoulders.

The classic Batman for me is blue/grey, capsule belt and yellow oval as that's the Batman I grew up with.

Plus the Arkham figures were not sculpted by the Horsemen like DCUC is. As much as I love the Arkham Batman, the fact that it wouldn't blend in with DCUC very well is exactly why I didn't buy Arkham Batman and make it my default Batman.

^Thats Awesome. my next hunt is for your Red and Blue Superman.
I have a pic of my Red Hood with most of his weapons and his 2nd Mask on and a pic of my Brightest Day Aquaman with added Beard.

Honestly if I had to recommend one batsy for the look it would be the new young justice bats coming out soon. That thing has so much goodness. Cape over the shoulders, pouch belt, and ears that look perfext. Hes just awesome.

And... silver... really, really bright... silver.

I'll have to wait until I see it in stores to decide whether or not to buy it. Maybe it's just the way the legs are posed, but it reminds me a little too much of the Bruce Timm design aesthetic that I've grown very tired of in the last decade. I'd also prefer a longer cape, and I'm really not sure about that silver. Still, have to wait to see it firsthand.

Nah. gave up on the YJ line. It was just to animated looking. Doesn't fit in with my collection. I had my YJ Aqualad and Artemis heads redone to fit in with my collection.

Just picked up an Arkham City two-pack Robin & Joker set, but I discovered that this version of Robin does not come with a staff weapon. Does anyone have any suggestions for something I can use as a replacement?
