Thanks for the breakdown...uh, I mean..description. Sounds like he'll come with blades which attach over his fists much like Prime, rather than the kind which attach at the forearm like Arcee. Granted, Arcee's blades make sense given how they deploy in the show, but they are much too large IMO and she's missing her all important hand cannons! I'd gladly give up the blades for the cannons...but I digress. Anyway, seems odd that we've seen resin proto's or actual production figures for every other Prime figure coming in early 2012, but not for Ratchet. I figure someone would have snuck one if nothing else.
Glad to see more confirmation on Ratchet, but what about Soundwave and Wheeljack? Aren't they supposed to be out in March? And where are Cyberverse Arcee and Bulkhead!? Probably a stupid question, but will the U.S. assortments be different from the Japanese ones?
They should be at U.S. retail in March. At least according to convention placards I've seen around the net, which clearly show that month as the expected 'on sale' time period.

No that was one of the First Edition figures, separate from this listing. Just like the TF Prime First Edition figures are available now and the actual TF Prime line won't be available until Spring, just like the Japanese release. Most assuredly, though some releases will be around the same time (as with most lines). Randy

Well this is great news! So there may be a repaint of the TFP Deluxe Starscream as Skywarp after all. I wonder if Takara will get the Ratchet figure earlier than Hasbro?! Because if Takara released Ratchet first it'll b awsome espeically for hard core fans of him! Maybe the Deluxe Megatron redeco will have the Shadowblade colors!
Goodness I hope it's not just a straight repaint. Starscream has such an individualized look, right down to the almost 'wormy' and emaciated feel to his sillohuette. Simply repainting 'Screamie' as Skywarp just wouldn't be right! Again, I think this is more than likely a typo, and that this is actually Starscream and not Skywarp at all. But, we shall see.
