I'm actually kinda looking forward to watching this. Don't get me wrong, I love the darker and more serious parts of Transformers too, but I also can enjoy the lighter side of the series.

Agreed pretty comprehensively again TylerMirage; as touched on by others in this thread, the same response you replied to about seeing the charm through what some see as a flaw can be levelled at G1 too, if someone wants to hold it up to contemporary animation/anime, or programs from a similar era to G1 like Mysterious Cities of Gold that were far mmore driven by story than product.

On the latter point I do have a niece and nephew, but playing that card isn't very convincing when I'm walking in or out of a Transformers retailer wearing my Grimlock T shirt lol.

:lol  at people complaining about the animation.
I think it looks cool for the little kids :thumbs2:

I wouldn't mind a few deluxe generations versions of those bots either.

I personally LOVE the fact they are doing an age appropriate non-violent Transformers show!!!

It doesnt quite look as good quality as FiM, ...and what's with all the gradients? Lol

Bring it on Rescue Bots!!!!! :D

Who cares what this thing is? I don't. It's not made for the majority of us anyways. It's made for little kids. I could care less about whether it exits or not and what becomes of it. I'm not emotionally attached to it. We still have TF Prime and this new kiddy series isn't taking that away.

I think it looks great. My 4 year old will LOVE it, and THAT is what Transformers is, and always SHOULD be about... entertaining the kids with quality product.

Wow... I actually wish it at least two or three seasons. This is like Rescue Heroes meets Transformers... two things my kids dig. And to top it off, it's mostly non-violent, a rarity in this day and age! I applaud Hasbro and the Hub.

Really... you are gonna go there? OMG LOL. Some of this biggest cartoon shows ever have "crap animation". Southpark. Ren and Stimpy. He-Man. Transformers-Season 1. Yes... I said it. Every episode of the 80's Transformers season 1 was FILLED with poorly drawn cells, miscolored bots, characters added to a scene that weren't there, or disappear shortly after. Watch Transformers with someone who has no nostalgia for the series... they'll make you break down and cry with all the "nitpicks" about the quality of the cartoon.

That being said, Hasbro, I want MORE animated product aimed at the younger crowd. Who says Barney, Elmo, Dora, and Mickey Mouse are the only options for young kids?! Rescue Bots, roll out!

What does your 4 year old think of Transformers: Prime? My 3 year old (he'll be for on the 1st:)  ) really loves Transformers: Prime, and before that he loved Transformers: Animated—he had his own Animated toys and he could actually transform a few of them on his own. I wonder how he'll receive Transformers: Rescue Bots. I might be assuming too much, maybe he really loves anything Transformers, but I guess I'll find out soon enough (well, as soon as I find it online, anyway).

I had decided to skip this show but actually that looks like a lot of fun. I can maybe see many MLP avatars and sigs being replaced.

Looks ugly, but robot dinosaurs!? That's already more interesting than I was expecting.

Anyway I'm glad Hasbro is doing that for the lil' kids, lil kids deserve better than dumbass purple dinosaurs and teletubbies, little kids deserve giant robots too!

Hmm, not sure what 'go there' means since this whole thread is devoted to personal opinions and ruminations, but I will say this. What I meant was, compared to what a G1 Transformers cartoon could have looked like given the period (i.e., totally crappy animation like that found on Super Friends, Scooby Doo, etc.), I think it looks damn good and holds up well enough. Granted, it's no Transformers: Prime or feature film quality animation, but it's certainly 1,000,0000x better than Rescue Bots and its low rent Flash animation.
