Thanks Chosen. And yes I could guess judging from your avatar and sig that Chosen and Baltan II were one in the same! And I dont mind Tim honestly. He's a good friend and I like his posts in that thread. In any case, I've posted a highly-detailed Monsterarts Mechagodzilla review over at Clubtokyo, so check it out! I think it would overwhelm the folks here so I'll spare them any further torture!
LOL! No wonder my import store called me shortly later that day but I didn't have the time to collect Mecha. I will be collecting my piece later next week. I've sort of lost interest in the line due to the scale. Maybe I will just get King G and Burning Goji (maybe) and I'll call it quits. I don't know dude. Sells outs on Ami Ami aren't exactly an indicator of popularity in my country. Over here some of my import shops were trying to push me Gaia at a local currency price of $25. However, I didn't pick him up as I know nothing about Gaia and don't find his look appealing. IMO it could be more of the following and popularity of the character that led to the sell out.
Well, this thread just made me order Godzilla and preorder Mecha G and Space G fromm BBTS. Damn thread.
Im surprised we havent seen a Jet Jaguar figure considering how he would fit in with the other figuarts
So looking over the info for the Godzilla I bought off of BBTS I noticed something troubling. According to the description the accessories are only going to be in the initial release. So does this mean my Godzilla may come without his radioactive breath? I emailed BBTS about it and my response was they believe there was only one shipment. So hopefully I'm ok because the price had me nearly pass as it is, but if it comes without the stuff I'm expecting than I'm not gonna bother wasting my time (and money) on the line.
The "first release" is still going. It would need to take until the point where no more Godzillas are coming from the supplier and an entirely new batch goes up for preorder to constitute a reissue of Godzilla, ie. the second release. That hasn't happened. That's because the line is focused on the Heisei characters right now.
Ah ok, thanks. Definately good to hear as I would hate to have to buy another Godzilla JUST for his atomic breath, but that's what I would've done so I could have him complete. I'm seeing preorders on Ebay for an add on kit for Mecha G but don't wanna do it seeing as how the auctions list it for a March release which puts it way past the limit for Paypal refunds if something happens. Since they're doing the Heisei series right now I'm really hoping they get to Biollante, Battra, and Mogera(spelling) before moving on to any other series. Of course then again, maybe some diversity would be cool as well.
Moguera has been displayed twice in the past. Wasn't present at the recent Tamashii Nations that I know of, but the pictures of the painted prototype are out there.
Moguera was seen at SDCC, so is coming. There are two known accessory kits. One is a pack of military vehicles, plus an another differently-colored breath attack for Godzilla. The other is Garuda for MechaGodzilla. They are exclusive to Bandai's online store that does not ship outside of Japan, so you will have to use some kind of middleman to get them and they will be expensive. S.H. MonsterArts - Effects & Toho Special Super Weapons Set for Godzilla Exclusive - Godzilla Figures S.H. MonsterArts - UX-01-92 Garuda & Effects for Mechagodzilla - Godzilla Figures
Yes it was. MOGUERA was in diorama shots (THE diorama of the event, the one with the phony cameras) and is by most guesses the next up for release after Spacegodzilla.
I'd say the Super Weapons sst is worth if you want them(though not worth the BBTS price, go with Middlemen or Mandarake). While it comes with some atomic breath, nobody says it has to be Godzilla fighting them. Must have missed that while I was drowning in all the new product news. Woops.
Really though, I'm just using this as an excuse to link to my current desktop. Again. <3 TAMASHII*NATION*2011*?It's*Arts????S.H.MONSTER*ARTS_???_????
Yeah, I'm not going to preorder the sets from anywhere, they're not too high a priority for me. I'll try to grab them from Mandarake later. And I'd be shocked if Moguera doesn't come out next. At San Diego Comic Con last July, they showed four Monsterarts: Godzilla, MechaGodzilla, SpaceGodzilla, and Moguera. Moguera has obviously been in production for awhile, it's probably much closer to completion that King Ghidorah or anyone else. Personally, I'm hoping they finish they Heisei era monsters before they do anything else. They've already got a lot of them, it shouldn't take too long to finish. By my count, they need to do: Biollante King Ghidorah - seen at conventions Mecha King Ghidorah Mothra Battra Rodan - seen at conventions Baby Godzilla - seen at conventions Destoroyah - baby version seen at conventions? After the stuff already seen at conventions comes out, there's only a few left.
OH, that display. There was more to that than the King Ghidorah and Godzilla? Darn you CyberGundam, you have failed me!
Oh now THAT is nice! I'm wondering if Moguera will be able to seperate into it's vehicle forms or if that would just be too hard to do in toy form. It doesn't really look like it can but hey, I've been wrong before. Thanks for the pics even though my wallet hates you now.
