Ooooo. I'm liking the Hasbro Bible version of Shockwave. He's Marvel and Sunbow Shockers rolled into one with shades of Obsidian and Strika.

"Shockwave is the creator of both the Insecticons and the Dinobots. He's a mad scientist and by all accounts major villain in this game."

Looks like Sentinel Prime is on a Decepticon side now too.

Don't be too sure. The writers said that the Dinobots are ceartainly on thier radar! I'm sure they can talk to Hasbro into having them in the show. If HM Studios was able too then why not TFP? Besides they can always have the Dinobot's robot mode look reptillain humanoids with Dinosuar features which includes ordinary vehicle modes.

Digital Domain made the trailer? Isn't that company owned by Michael Bay?

All this sounds good, but why is Hasbro trying to keep Grimlock down?

lots of news about the BIG characters in this game, I'd like some news about the minor. I felt that Prowl and to a lesser extent Kup where solrly missing from the cast of characters in WFC.

Grimlock has no long range weapons but to make up for it he picks up objects and throws enemies at other enemies.

Oh my God that is fucking AWESOME! :bay

    Because they are idiots.
Their big, grandios master plan of this so-called "aligned" continuity was started as an after thought... was mis-handeled in the beginning... and apparently wish to continue to mis-handle it.

I think hasbro wants (wanted) to stay consistent with transformers in that they are Robots who turn into vehicles. Things like dinobots, pretenders and other gimmicks kind of blurr that message and maybe hasbro wouldnt want to introduce them to early.

I'm starting to think I should start ignoring interviews for this game. Matt seems far to willing to spill things I would like to discover when I play the game.

Yeah I don't understand why they would want to oust Grimlock or the Dinobots from this new Aligned-Continuity. Considering how extremely popular they are are and remember by even the most causal of fans. You'd think that they would want to flesh out the backstory with established characters than reduce it. Hell the Dinobots are probably the easiest ones to incorporate as they do not have multitude of continuities to contend with and sort into a single branch history.

    SMH.....

Guys, I am disappoint. Thought it was pretty clear that Grimlock is fine for Aligned. Hasbro probably took issue with the thing that already drive a bunch of fans nutty; Grimlock being a T. Rex before visiting Earth.

That makes sense. Maybe Hasbro didn't want the Dinobots show up early for now because they may have wanted to wait for a good moment to do so. The same goes to the Beast formers,Pretenders, etc.

It's pretty clear to me that if Hasbro insists on this "aligned continuity" crap, then we have to recognize that PRIME is actually an offshoot / continuation of G1.

No, not really. G1 stands on its own in the past. The Aligned stuff is all recent, moving forward. Prime isn't an offshoot or continuation of G1. It's a replacement for it in the current combined continuity Hasbro has chosen to develop and explore.

"Starscream is loyal to Starscream, right? Soundwave is loyal to Megatron, and Shockwave is loyal to Cybertron. " This is why MT is the man. TF REPRESENT! lol
