Yeah but remember we only got to see a tiny snipit of their fight. For all we know Soundwave may have owned Jazz for most of the fight.

The only thing I hate is Starscream's transformation. It starts of well then seems to speed up because the animators couldn't seem to figure out how he transforms.

As for Optimu's head, I like it but I can see why people don't those antennas are too thick and makes the head bulky plus gives the strong feel that it's a "helmet". At least with movie Optimus the antennas are thin.

Ah so this is why Transformers fan's get the mikey taken out of them then ; with stuff like this.

Glad Videogames rarely count in the long term I don't mind when a DS game lacks a Transformers feels but it's always disapointing when a more expensive console title does - hopefully the in game graphics will show some design tweaks and not look so souless.

Megatron shows no reaction at all, Optimus has a squint and all of them fail to emote even one tiny jot. as for Grimlock I suppose his Robot mode is OK (if about 3 times bigger than he needs to be) he's like Ultimate Bumblebee next to a Scout and he should be more like the size difference between Cybertron Defense Red Alert & Hotshot to work. The Trouble with the Dinosaur is it looks to much like Energon Grimlock.

If they can fix Optimus' Eyes and make the Transformers emote in any cutscenes then I'm sure it will be a bit better but a lack of emotion like that make me cringe. Also Starscream transforms to much like a Movie style.

The only thing that could have made this trailer better for me, aside from it being longer and featuring an Optimus who wasn’t so beefy and goofy looking, would have been one with the Combaticons forming Bruticus in the state of running, plowing through Autobots as he makes his way towards Optimus and company, ending with the game’s title, Fall of Cybertron.

I like how the Combaticons ran to form Bruticus, but the all that urgency to came to an end when they showed off their new look, which was nice and all, but seeing Bruticus in action would have made this trailer way better and it would have made me much happier.
So, are we to assume that Grimlock/Dinobots are going to be going head-to-head with Bruitcus? I would have thought Bruticus was much taller than the Dinobots…but then again, they were about half the size of Devastator in the ’86 movie.

Swindle is the one forming the leg. Onslaught is behind him, preparing to form the torso. Courtesy of Ryoku:

At the part where it shows bruticus fully combined, you can see that blast off is on the left side.

The faces of Optimus Prime and Megatron suck. However, since some toys are surely to be made off the second videogame, maybe we see a new Bruticus as in this trailer?

I suppose I should be less authoritative in my posts. I have no direct information on the development of this game. I have attended a prestigious school to learn how to make games and thus know enough of the behind the scenes stuff to be dangerous.

But no. There is nothing proving that I am right or wrong. I could just as easily be wrong and this is indeed a build up to reformatting Bee into his Prime design.

But I do have logic and the aforementioned knowledge of how games (in a broad scope) get made.

The series of events that I see leading up to our current view of the aligned continuity is thus. First High Moon was given free reign to treat this IP as a brand new IP (as said in numerous interviews). High Moon decided to make this a prequel to a Neo-G1 story. The G1-ish connection is both obvious and stated by Matt Tieger, but obviously doesn't connect up strait to it, hence Neo-G1. They developed their story and were likely a year or two into development. Hasbro then decided to take this new continuity High Moon and Exodus were developing and use it as the basis for their aligned continuity. TF Prime was told this from the gate.

Now this aligned continuity is not direct. They are a family. They share similar elements but not direct actions unless said actions are decided to be referenced (like Optimus back story shown in Prime).

We come to Fall of Cybertron. This time Hasbro makes some requests to make this game fit more into the aligned continuity. Bee is to be mute. Cliffjumpers head looks like X. I fear there may be more changes but I'll wait and see. This is why Matt Tieger has proclaimed Fall to be a spiritual sequel to War and not a direct sequel.

Regarding how I know Bee won't get a new body, well I don't for sure. But as I can infer that with logic. As I already pointed out, they changed Optimus and Megatron before the game. If they were going to change Bee, they would have done so at the same time. Secondly resources in game development (time and money) is something always being fought over. I have an extremely hard time believing they would build two versions of the same character when they could have just built one and it would have been fine. Building two characters means essentially that they would have to not do another character because there is only so many resources that can be put into character modeling and animation. Finally I doubt that Hasbro would demand this change. I expect they were allowed to do their own thing as long they don't contradict the aligned continuity; and body style is irrelevant. So those are my big reasons why I find it next to impossible that Bee will become his Prime self, but I've already explained that before. Am I right? Well I think so but there is nothing saying I have to be. Believe what you want to.

As to how a chest wound can make a bot mute; the honest answer is plot. I see no reason why they cannot simply replace what ever breaks making Bee mute. But Bee being mute is a big part of his character in the aligned continuity, much to my annoyance.

War for Cybertron wasn't meant to be a direct prequel to the G1 cartoon. There are enough inconsistencies that prove that. It's obvious it was intending to be a prequel for something similar to G1 however. Hence why I call it Neo-G1.

Fall of Cybertron is being made well after the aligned continuity was born so I expect it to be tied to that since that is what Hasbro wants to do with all their Transformers media. That's why I think a chest wound will make Bee mute.

That mystery 'Con just has to be Bruticus. The last arm to attach featured rotor-blades.

If it is Bruticus, I'm kind of disappointed they'd pick him over Devastator. Just feels more natural to start with the first 'Con combiner to me.

I like how onslaught in the combiner is actually the onslaught from the map pack in wfc, you can see his sillouette before bruticus starts combining.

There's also a clear shot of Brawl forming the left leg.

To be fair, Bruticus does have the "advantage" in this situation:

-> 5 Combaticons vs 6 Constructicons means one less team member to make models for.
-> Brawl and Onslaught already have character models, while none of the Constructicons do.
-> Bruticus is a soldier while Devastator is a construction worker. IMO, Bruticus is the better choice for a shooter.
