While I'm not a fan of the "Bayformer" treatment the movies got, I don't think we should be trying to peeve off the Bayformer fans. we're all Transformer fans here (I hope)

 

We know! We're not trying to make the Movie fans angry. We're just makig names up for people who think any TF universe that isn't the movies is not good,like with Geewunners with G1.

 

I love Tf: Prime because it combines elements from the movies and Transformers Animated, both o which were the ones to introduce me to the franchise. Not to mention a good story, character development and more focus on the tfs, and the humans are tolerable. I couldn't stand Bay using Mikaela and Carly as eye candy. It was really fucking annoying.

 

Bayheads.

If I may weigh in with my opinion, I like Prime better. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the movie designs of the Transformers (I'm a bit of a design geek) but the plot, it has more holes then any extra in a Schwarzenegger movie and there's little to no character development, even with the autobots. Now I'm a writer and a critic, so I must pick apart every story I see. But Prime, while it does have a few flaws (Miko, Arcee getting a bit too much attention, some slow episodes), it combines the pointy rough design of Bayverse Transformers with the smooth, rounded design of Animated or WFC, and that, I love.

 

That's not fair. Just because a movie is only 2 hours, doesn't mean it can't be well written. That's a ridiculous notion.
For the first two films Kutzman and Orci simply had no idea what they were doing. They wrote an amazing Star Trek movie, but two half assed Transformers movies. DOTM was better written, but even that had room for improvement. At least with DOTM you could tell the writer did his research on Transformers.

TFP (Like Beast Wars) treats kids as if they have brains, and have more interesting and darker plots.
Bayformers took the approach of 'people don't have brains; they just want to things explode'.

 

While I've been on the hey we are all Transformers band wagon for a while, an evil little part of kind of likes that karma is coming around to bite some people in the butt.

There are some wonderfully nice people who are movie fans but there have also been some movie fans who were just so horrible toward G1 fans or any other fan who disagreed with how something was done in the movies. Or the condescending the movie made $1 billion so it doesn't matter what you want as a fan and it doesn't matter if you get to enjoy Transformers because Hasbro makes money off the movie toys.

It's bad ugly stuff has to happen in our fandom but perhaps if some people have to wear the shoes of the people they were beating down and attacking perhaps they will learn why it is better to be nice to your fellow fans.

 

True but the same goes to fans for other countinuitys who bash other brands mercilessly. Like with TFA fans against TFP fans and vice versa.
