I know this topic had probably been done to death but I'm curious about other Tf fan's preferences. I am old school G1 mostly but I can see a bit of quality in the the other TF story arcs. Opinions?

Superlink and Galaxy Force are tied for my favorite. They`re followed by Masterforce and pre-movie G1.

Car Robot/RiD rules with its own continuity.
I'll like BW Second -> Neo, too if I could watch more episodes.

Yeah I know it's probably just me.

Would it be a cop out for me to say I like them all on their own merits? Because that's pretty much where I sit. I do enjoy Galaxy Force and the Beast era a lot, though.

The Unicron Trilogy is my favourite, more precisely, Cybertron.

Also, G1 Season 1,2 + 3 are also particularly Enjoyable.
(Recently saw FFOD Pt 1-5, was awesome)
Season 1, because it's classic, only way to put it.
Season 2, Cast got a lot Bigger, 5-member combiners were introduced.
Season 3, Because crazy ol' Galvatron's in it.

In order from favorite to least favorite:

    (1) "Beast" cartoon continuity (Beast Wars, Beast Machines).
    (2) Marvel comics continuity (US G1, UK G1, G2, "Another Time and Place", "Alignment").
    (3) DW "Unicron Trilogy" continuity (TF Armada and Energon comics).
    (4) 'Personal' modern cartoon continuity (Armada, Cybertron) - Given how bad the Energon cartoon was and how poorly it fits between Armada and Cybertron, I personally consider Energon and Cybertron to be two alternate futures to the Armada show, with Energon the 'non-canonical' future.
    (5) G1 cartoon.
    (6) DW G1 continuity (War Within, various G1 books and associated miniseries, the novels released a few years ago).
    (7) Energon cartoon.

    Not included:

    - RiD - Haven't seen.
    - Japanese exclusive TF series - Haven't seen.
    - IDW comics - Haven't read yet (waiting for trades).

    1. G1 Marvel - loved Furman's concept of Primus and Unicron)

    2. G1 Cartoon - Could have been better if Hasbro had left Optimus dead or as a "Force Ghost" to guide Rodimus Prime. Would have gave TFs a more serious legacy.

    3. Beast Wars - best written TF series ever.
