    I thought the rule was you weren't supposed to shave like 6 weeks before a Botcon or shower 5 days before :tongue:

    chicago, BAltimore or NEw orleans. JoeCon is in New orleans, so it'd be logical for them to have both in the same city within around 3 weeks of each other

    Based on the stats, I'd wager it's a corner state... like New Orleans LA, Maine, CA, or Washington.

    I'd also point out that most convention centers are booked some TEN YEARS in advance. It's really a challenge to find a location... centrally located or otherwise. I know they're trying to please the masses and mix it up each year, but bottom line... I'm guessing they're having to take what's available.

    I would probably shit myself, as I wanted to get to a Botcon in the near future. I would love to see it come to Columbus. They do have that huge convention center after all... Plus, I know they are finishing up that new Hilton(at least I think it was a Hilton) right across the street. I think we are the 5%, haha!

    I know that if it's Atlanta, I WILL be there, on account that my dad works for a Computer rental company for conventions, so he'll probably get a job as technician.

    Also, Shadow said that if I make it, he's looking forward to meeting me.

    Okay, my question is: Why not wait til they actually MAKE THE ANNOUNCEMENT?!?!?!?! "Hey guys, guess what? Botcon is preparing to prepare to reveal the location of the convention!!!!!!!" Totally newsworthy. This is the reason I hate the dry spells as far as real news goes. You get reports that are questionable as news at best, or pointless at worst. Any minute now, I'm sure someone will report a Transformers toiletries kit coming out and it'll make the front page.

    I certainly wouldn't mind Chicago, but doesn't Botcon (Disney excluded) tend to go for more reasonably priced cities? Chicago is like in the top 10 of most expensive cities.

    Heh, I've made the same statement before. Almost every single bit of TFCC/Botcon news is this way. We get several "news" reports about how they're going to give us actual "news" "soon". It happens for other things too (like some third parties say they'll announce something in a week, or do the stupid super-blurry / blacked-out picture as news).

    I find it annoying too, but I don't think anyone else cares.
