and i soooo agree with you on that note. Like I said, less Sam and his whole not needed life and we could have had way more time for other TFs related events.

 

My problem with Sam is that they could have better incorporated him into the NEST part of the plot, but instead went for the comedy at the college and then with him searching for a job in DOTM. And that led to Sam and his "abnormal, normal" life complete with over-the-top parents and tag along wackjobs like Leo and the Twins (and Simmons to an extent) being the "A" plot and the NEST Autobots/military being the "B" plot.

I always found the "B" plot more interesting with way more potential, which is why I would have totally loved a NEST spin-off pre-DOTM. I say pre-DOTM because a NEST spin-off without Ironhide = blah.

 

I agree with you 100% except I think a NEST series after DOTM can still work. In fact what if they took a bit of PRIME and threw it in there as well. What I mean is what if NEST had an equivalent human enemy that was another military splinter faction like the return of Sector 7 and or even a real version of MECH. Everyone wants to see a TFs G.I. Joe crossover. NEST and S7/MECH could be those sort of G.I Joe/Cobra counterparts to the Bots and Cons.

 

We can all agree that Sam should have joined the military so he could be in NEST right. It would've saved a lot of time.
