Why does every critic hate Transformers?? ROTF was a great movie, how the bloomin heck were the Twins racist??????? It wasnt too loud at all, great movie! DOTM was the best out of the lot, awesome action scenes and a good story! But NOOOOO, critics hated it. Frickin A- holes.
I don't think critics hate the franchise in general, just the movies. It's easy to make that assumption and get defensive. Hell, I've been guilty of that a few times. As for why they dislike the movies it's because they don't live up to their standards of film making/storytelling.
When you viewing film as art which is what critics do ROTF was a terrible movie. That being said ROTF from an artistic perspective sucked but from an entertainment standpoint it was great. Its an important distinction that needs to be made. Citizen Kane for example is an amazing film artistically but one may not find it the most entertaining. Judging movies is all about perspective.
Saying "I hate critics" is often a sign that a person is unable to acknowledge the flaws present in something and enjoy it anyway. There's nothing wrong with disagreeing with criticisms of the Bay films, but as many of the threads dealing with critics of the films, especially professional critics, have centred around hating the critics themselves, as opposed to their arguments, and usually contain very little in the way of refutement, it is difficult for me to assign much credibility to the counterarguments. Why hate someone, just because they don't like a thing that you like? Tl;dr Here we go again
They are determined to hate every movie. Yes i hate critics. They probably watch musicals and other dull 'movies'
And when some critics happen to agree with your opinion of the movies I bet you then think they're fantastic people, yes? Funny old world... ^ This.
What's funnier is that some persons may latch onto a critic and go, 'I like this guy. He feels about a number of movies the way I feel. I trust this guy.' And then...the reviewer gives a movie the person loves a bad rating, while the person loved it. And then the person just goes off: "I can't believe this! He can't see how brilliant this film is. I can't believe I trusted his opinion!"
"Wah! People don't like movies I like that are widely regarded as mediocre or bad! They must be bad people! Wah!"
I would normaly write a wall of text in these kinds od situation but I think this will do for this thread "Opinions motherfucker , people have them!"
I used to think like you. I hated critics beacuse they gave the movies a bad score and trashed it. I thought people who hated the movies were delusional. But after a while and many viewings, I don't hate critics and actually agree with them to a certain extent. Yes, I still disagree with some of their crticisms, but for the most part they are right. Now just because I agree with some of their criticisms does not mean I can't enjoy the films. I still love watching DOTM and TF1 and, to a certain extent, ROTF. You shouldn't hate them just beacuse they don't like the movies you like or they don't agree with you. Everyone has their own opinion and are entitled to it. If you don't like it, deal with it.
I can respect that people don't like the movies, that is their business. But I have seen some critics who review movies for the wrong reasons. Like that guy who was looking for "historical accuracy" in a Transformers movie.
You are determined to hate every critic. Yes, I hate you. You probably hate things like musicals and movies like Blade Runner and Citizen Kane because you think they are "dull." Please get out, we don't want you.
