you know,if this blades were in every striker prime,I would buy one striker prime immediately
it literally solves the blade problems in the ROTF Primes which prevents the arm from straightening when the blade is kept.
you know,they should just come up with accessories for up to add onto our DOTM figures
like blades,or hooks,or mech-tech weapons
instead of exclusive weapon giveaways that are limited

 

people are saying Striker is using the original Optimus Prime's backpack - is it possible to swap the tanks and backpack with Buster to make a Jetwing-compatible, guntank-bearing Striker Optimus Prime?

 

Yeah, but it really helps the retailers move Movie stock. There were some toys that have been sitting there all summer. And if you bought the only thing worth buying there (Striker Prime for 7,000 Yen), you still only got one pair of blades.

 

Great to know they work on the Jetwing Prime too! s But will the blades arrive in places like Ebay or Amazon eventully?

Hopefully a 3rd party company will reproduce these. I stupidly canceled my BBTS preorder for these last month when I decided not to get Striker Prime, but then broke down and ordered him last night. 

edit: Nevermind, they're up for preorder again, cool......pricey but cool.

 

I agree. This set is most impressive, but it'll likely cost hundreds of dollars.

According to BraveMagnus' review, no, the jetwings can only fit in truck mode.

¥3,000 which is about $38+ USD. To obtain them someone in Japan has to buy, ¥3,000 worth of Transformers toys at a Japanese TRU, and the swords are given as a free promotion.

In retrospect the BBTS price(not $60) doesn't have too much of a markup. You have to take into account the gas used and travel distance for the buyer(s) in Japan. Then shipping by air. All things considered I think a $20 markup is okay and it's less than I thought it would be. These swords are also limited to 10,000.

The cheapest way to obtain these is if either you, or a family member/friend is in Japan and has ¥3,000 yen to blow at TRU Japan. I would think other proxy services would charge a similar if not higher markup than BBTS.

I'm surprised a 3rd party hasn't announced weapons upgrades for DOTM Prime yet. He used hand held swords, different guns for Jetwing mode, had a sword rack, et al. Xterry said there is a rumored trailer in the works for leader prime by a 3rd party but he hasn't said much else.
