I lump Bay critics into two groups.

1)Intelligent

2)Unintelligent

The Bad guys who fled or try to get off scott free, after they catch them they have war crime trials to dtermine their punishment.

It was first done to make sure none of the Nazi's didn't leave without paying their dues for what they did.


I honestly wish Dylan had lived only for him to go and have a trail for his crimes againist humanity.

Is trying to get some intellectual honesty out of someone who is clearly an intelligent person something wrong?

 

It's just part of our culture that we expect everyone to get their fair day court, both good guys and bad guys.

The idea of blanket punishment for a group of people doesn't really sit very well with our ideals about justice.

So in the case of the Nazi trials people wanted to know who was really responsible so they could be punished and who might have put on the uniform but not committed crimes or serious crimes. As much as we wanted to punish the guilty we didn't want to become bad guys ourselves by just executing people without their fair day in court.

 

Right. So why is it ok for Prime to do it?

 

Because he's on our side.

Seriously, this isn't World War II, it's a hostile alien robot who if given the chance, would try and wipe out humanity...

^Yeah, I really don't get why people are so "offended" by Movie Prime. It's a very realistic take on the character in the time of war. The way he is portrayed in the comics and cartoons doesn't work for the movies. There's no "Decepticons, retreat!" every five minutes, so he had to be more violent to get the job done.

 

Umm yes he should. Because he's not a bad guy. That's supposed to be what makes the good guys different.
And I like how you treat WWII like it was some minor thing.

 

Compared to an intergalatic Civil War that had affected many planets, over a large stretch of time, our second "war to end all wars" is pretty minor.
