And? I assume you'll go with "I'm paying 100$ for a toy, it shouldn't be broken," and I agree with that, but it's a 3rd party company, not Hasbro. I don't know why, but it makes me more willing to overlook a design flaw whose only potential downfall (so far) is a squeak.

Not to be a d!ck but this sh!t just happens. I have had plenty of Takara and Hasbro TFs that had QC issues. It happens. I don't really understand all the people jumping ship.

Here are a few things to think about. TFC is pretty new to designing and building TFs. These things ARE going to happen.

Who knows if it TFC fault or the manufacture they contracted out. They might have specified the uses of soft plastic but just used whatever they had lying around.

Also, we got a new shovel with HL, who's to say this won't be fixed just as easily. We might get a new crotch or parts to fix ours.

Neither of mine have the problems yet but if it does happen, it is a easy fix for me. Or TFC might send up new parts to fix this.

Last, if you look at these figs, TFC went the extra mile on these guy for a "masterpiece" Devastator. I love the quality and design of these figs. Can't wait for the rest.

It would be the right thing to do, to fix a problem they created. Passing the buck on the purchaser isn't fair at all, as well, it isn't their fault. TFC's factory screwed up somewhere, and it is they who should have to cover any additional costs, not the poor souls who were sold defective goods.

Wow. Can I sale you some of my broken toys at a high premium;)

Where did everyone get their replacement shovels for Exgraver? I just got my Heavy Labor figures from Robot Kingdom and I did not get shovel replacements like some said.

    Anyone?

I just got my preorder from RK last week and they included a separate little white box with the shovel replacement in my shipment.

I got mine from RK also, and I did get the shovel. It was in the cardboard box separate from HL (not inside the HL box). I didn't see it at first, so check your package again to make sure. If not, then they made a mistake. I would let them know ASAP, and I imagine they will send it to you soon.

We disagree on opinions. Must be a shitty alt account.

EDIT: @Transformed: Depends what you might be selling. =p

i am not jumping ship at all, ever.i am sure they will come up with a solution.they were really quick to address the first gear misalignment problem.just because they are not responding right now doesn't mean piss poor customer service/neglect whatsoever on their part.seriously. give them some time to figure things out, they will eventually find the best solution.anything that's worth anything requires time.take it easy guys.

So I got Heavy Labor today. I do like the figure but it too has the squeaks. I also did NOT get the Exgraver replacement part.

I hope that if TFC does indeed include a fix for HL, that they include it with a later release figure like Neckbreaker or Madblender so as not to delay the upcoming figures...sorta like how HL got delayed due to Exgravers fix which more than likely wouldn't have happened had they included the extra Exgraver scoop with the figure that comes AFTER Heavy Labor...

Seeing as this doesn't seem like as easy of a fix as the Exgraver arm due to more parts being involved this one may come further down the line anyways.

After giving it a lot of thought, I'm out for now.

I'm not buying individual Constructicons here, I'm buying Devastator. So it felt a little weird to start making payments without ever seeing a photo of the final product. But I did it because I really didn't want to miss this.

Then the first $100 figure has a flaw, which doesn't seem like a very good start. But they respond quickly and proactively by announcing the replacement part with the next figure, so I kept on going because I really didn't want to miss this.

Now the second $100 has a flaw. It came with a part to fix the first figure. The next figure will have to come with a part to fix this figure. This isn't sustainable... what is the part to fix the final figure going to come with? The first figure of the next combiner?

At some point the Devastator fan in me has to yield to common sense. (Some would argue that ship already sailed when I decided to spend $600 on a toy.). For what this thing costs, I shouldn't have to repair it out of the box or deal with multiple returns trying to win the lottery for a non-broken set of figures.

Maybe I'm just still feeling a little burned by the Masterpiece Rodimus v1 fiasco. But I have this dread of buying these figures individually, each with separate white boxes of repair parts. Six months later there will be a v2 run of these figures with all the issues corrected. Possibly even in a nice box set.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying TFC won't fix this. I'm not saying Hercules won't be amazing. I'm not saying I won't buy it. For all I know, they will fix it and it will be amazing and I will buy it. What I'm saying is that I don't feel like it makes sense at this point for me to continue taking it on faith and prepaying. As all of us do with practically everything else we buy, I'm now putting the burden on them to show me their completed product and prove it's worth the asking price. When I can place an order for all six figures with corrections made at the factory, I'll do so. That position puts me at risk of missing out on this combiner, but I can live with that. If there are enough people out there willing to pay $600 for figures that they have to repair themselves, then they deserve this set more than me and I'm happy to give up my place in line.

The upcoming two preorders have been canceled. Heavy Labor is out of my POL for store credit. Exgraver will be unloaded. I'll be watching this thread into next year, and if TFC can pull their act together, I'm willing to get back on board.

That's probably the most well thought out and rational post I've ever seen. I'm not quite out yet, but I just got my hands on a Bruticus so scale seems more important now and that may play into jumping ship for Giant. TFC's shitty non-response on this is infuriating and makes it easier to digest what you put into words so well.
