it not mentioned on any of the prequels (which i consider canon) only the adaptations, but if u pay attention theres still left over of this on the movies since all of the knownledge and history record of the cube is on the Matrix, thats How Prime knows of the Fallen despite not knowing anything of him on the movie also all the knownledge on Matrix could also be how Sentinel knew english due to the Allspark recording the english language due to beign on Earth, so despite not beign mentioned on the movie it is clear the knownleged of the allsaprk still moved to the matrix in the movies Also the Symbols and everything sam had in the movies no longer have been bothering him in the rest of ROTF and in DOTM which could prove all the knowledge of the cube did moved into the Matrix itself Notes: also jsut cause it wasnt mentioned on the film, it doesnt means it never happened, the novel of rotf shows Optimus recovering the matrix but we dont see it in the movie, YET in DOTM we see he did recovered the Matrix, so jsut cause the allspark transporting into the matrix wasnt mentioned, it doesnt means it never happened
These plot-holes being discussed hardly did anything to change the course of the plot. Obviously, the biggest plot-hole is when The Doctor says, "TEAR ZE LITTLE ONE!", and Long Haul and Mixmaster begin tearing apart Scrapmetal. Umm, Scrapmetal is a lot bigger than Mixmaster... Honestly, if the writers had done that correctly and Mixmaster died instead of Scrapmetal, then the battle in Egypt could've been much different. Scrapmetal would've single-handedly overrun the Autobots and humans, and then he would've destroyed Prime's body, usurped leadership of the Decepticons and killed the Fallen. I think the only reason why Megatron managed to kill Prime was because he had Scrapmetal's voice inside of his head telling him what to do.
I've got this one. Wheelie turned into an RC truck, so it's possible that he transformed into the truck out of fear. When they checked the suitcase all they found was a toy truck then. The second "plot hole" can be explained easily. Sam could have been in his first period class when he called Mikaela. If this happened, then that gives Mikaela over 7-8 hours to get there. It's also likely that Leo attended all of his classes that day and he came into his dorm after all of his classes; which again may add up to 7 hours.
When it comes to the Allspark, I don't really think it has anything to do with who's a Prime and who isn't. It's a matter of dead vs stasis lock - Optimus was truly dead, while Megatron and Jetfire's Energon levels were empty; Megatron short-circuited and Jetfire simply ran out over time. As for another "plot hole" that's been brought up many times - the "only a Prime can defeat The Fallen" thing is really not that complicated - as SPLIT LIP (if I'm not mistaken) said in a much older thread, The Fallen never said only Primes can kill Primes, he said only a Prime can defeat HIM. Think of it this way - anyone can kill Luke Skywalker, but it'd take a well-trained Jedi to take down Darth Vader or Emperor Palpatine. Honestly, "little" doesn't always have to refer to physical size. Scalpel (The Doctor) was figuratively speaking, calling Scrapmetal "little" because he was completely expendable. He served little purpose to the Decepticons' grand scheme of things, if you will.
People who love the movie will simply explain so-called plotholes with logical information easily deduced from the movie and have fun. People who hate will go "movie sucks" anyway.
That would have worked too, if the movie was only 22 minutes long. I can only shut off my brain for so long...
The shard thing was explained by the fact that the Cons had to sacrifice one of their own to revive Megs. I doubt Prime would have appreciated the Bots resorting to that unless someone volunteered to do it.
Rotf has its plotholes, and for plothole I understand something that cannot be explained or understood simply watching the movie ( I need to find comics/novels to fully understand a movie? C'mooon ). All of us can guess or imagine any sort of explanation if we want. But I really like SamWitwickygirl enthusiasm on this thread, so I'll contribute a little . Here's my plothole: Why the constructicons merged in Mighty Devastatorrr far from the pyramid? Now we all know that Devastator is not specially fast, and If I'm not mistaken there was plenty of space on the pyramid's base to merge. I mean, it took forever for him to reach the top of the thing....
Okay. That's kind of epic, I admit. A noble effort, Witwicky'sGirl. That's great and all that you love ROTF so much; I liked it too. But you just can't defend the fact that it was a fast and crappy script. Not everything can be defended, even for the most vehement movie fanatic. Comic adaptations won't help too much either in the long run.
it wasnt a crappy script, and I BELIEVE IT WASNT, so I CAN defend it. let's keep going if youd like. i can keep going.thats just your opinion that it was crappy.
dont just say "oh theres so many plotholes. deal with it" LIST THEM AND ILL SHOOT THEM DOWN. IM NOT AFRAID. I KNOW ALL OF IT! ROTF IS A GOOD MOVIE! YES, they didnt explain a lot in the movie, so people who arent fans sometimes say "Screw it" but if youre a major fan like me and you want the TF movie world to make sense to you, YOULL FIND A WAY TO UNDERSTAND IT. and i did, and i know the answers. so GO FOR IT! lol (im getting soo into this! lol)
Alright I thought of a plot hole, Optimus is a descendant of the primes yet when he is fighting the Fallen, the Fallen says "die like your brothers" and then Optimus says "they were your brothers too" that would make Optimus one of the original primes which he was not
Here's one: how the hell does Jetfire and co. get from the Simthsonian in Washington D.C. to the Boneyard in Arizona as if the two locations are side by side and not somewhere around 2000 miles apart?
or are you talking about when they were outside? well, michael bay just used the boneyard and said it was outside of the museum to make it look like it was part of the museum cause it had airplanes and stuff. it looked like a good visual to those who havent been there. but thats just part of the movie. he went there to film quicker and move on to the next location. but it was supposed to be the outside of the museum, like the backyard of the museum.
all of the autobots/decepticons are brothers. remember optimus said about megatron in the first one "you gave me no choice brother" once they were a peaceful race, the autobots and the dcons. so i guess they call everyone on cybertron brothers.
