Longer. I would have liked more closure instead of PrimespeechDirectedbymichaelbayLinkinpark. In an additional five minutes, they could have had Prime reflect on Ironhide's death, the battle, and what he had just done. It would have really helped to clear up the RAWR PRIME IZ TEH FACE RIPPAR discussions. And additional rendering of any robots (the thing that apparently costs a lot of $$$) wouldn't have needed to have been done. It could have been done in a TF1 style voice over by Prime.
It was all a terrible dream and it never happened....... or somebody steps on Shia Labeouf....... or both!
I just would have liked the full ending speech from the novel/comic instead of the clipped one that was in the movie.
I think just some few three minutes more would suffice for me, doing like the first movie with the speech thing: "In any war, there are calms between the storms." - As Optimus deliver the above mentioned part, we are shown The ONU recognizing the Autobots as the heroes they are [and maybe giving them "Earthly" citzenship], Sam and Carly together, Lennox with his family [alongside Epps] and Simmons with Mearing, e.t.c "There will be days when we lose faith." - With the above part, we are shown Optimus and the Autobots burying Ironhide and Wheeljack, the Autobots say a few words of goodbye [Optimus: "Farewell, my brothers.", Ratchet: "We shall meet in the AllSpark my old friend.", BB: "I am and forever shall be your friend"]. "Days when our allies turn against us" - Optimus looks at the Wrecked Sentinel heartfelt. "But the day will never come when we forsake this planet and its people." - Group shot of the 'Bots with Lennox, Epps, Sam, Simmons and the 'Bots [including the Wreckers] as they stare in the stars one more time. Shot of Earth. roll credits. BUT THEN, midway through credits: *Opens on the devastated Chicago, where Igor walks towards a fallen Shockwave, he smiles* "HE HA, TAKE HIM!" *a small army of Hatchlings carry him out of the city, focus on Shockwave's eye: His eye goes back online* *Now roll credits*
I like that idea of Igor getting Shockwave. I would have been fine if they ended it like TF1 with more closure and just a mention of Ironhide's death.
I'd have liked an actual send off for the series, y'know because By obviously meant for this to be the last one (regardless of what Hasbro/Paramount wants). Funeral for the dead Autobots, rebuilding of Chicago, humanity apologizing for kicking the Bots off-world/accepting the Bots, doing something with all the dead Cons (and the living ones all over the planet), Sam and Carly wedding, Brains and Wheelie's fate being obvious, etc., etc.. The only difference I'd make to the final "fight" would to be showing Megatron reloading his weapon behind his back while offering that 'truce', just to make it even more obvious he wasn't being sincere since a lot of people evidently never caught onto that. (nothing says truce like a sneering monster demanding to be in charge)
Now that...would have been nice. Which also gives me an idea...was Starscream's spark truly extinguished? I mean, yeah - he blew up - but maybe he was merely put into a "stasis" mode...
This, and someone mentioned a Sam and Carly wedding thing. Bay did that in Armageddon at the end, so he probably thought it would look too similar, but then again all his movies are similar in this aspect!
Love that ending. Megatron and Optimus duking it out wth Sentinel just like in the novel would have added an extra touch of awesomeness to the whole climactic battle. A little more fight with Shockwave as well would have come in handy. He looked so badass in this film.
That would have been perfect! As I was reading that I was picturing it in my mind and that would have been much better than what we got.
yeah like how the other two were done! show closure! it didnt have lots of closure accept "oh the war ended right now"
The ending in the book. However, I always wanted this to show after the credits: Chicago comes into the screen. All buildings are destroyed, and there is smoke all over the city. Then the screen zooms in on Shockwave's death place. It zooms in on his body, and then on his head, and then on his eye. Then... his eye slowly lights up. (with some badass suspense or villain music playing in the background) After that, the screen goes completely black, more credits show, and the movie truly ends now.
