I told you guys that when I first seen the Prime toy line in its concept stages that it (to me) seemed to be the better looking line to come out to date and that all the toys did a great job with keeping to the overall look of the characters and not allowing for to much kibble. All-in-all... its a win win situation for everyone that wants this toy line. By far... out of all the ones I have seen... Starsceam's voyager mode, Knockout's Deluxe, Breakdown's Voyager and Skyquake's Voyager toys are some of the most well designed, clean, well transforming toys I have even had the chance to hold in my hands lol

Cool, looks actually good and if it wouldn't be for the head, this would mix with Classics toys quite well.

Yeah, I'm really torn here. First Edition version seems to have more accurate looking forearms and of course has the flip-around hand guns but a wonky looking chest and skinny legs, whereas V2 has better proportions overall and better looking legs but far less accurate arms.

Ugh, this is going to be a headache.

I'm surprised noone answered you. Yes, the Preview Wave is due out in time for Christmas.

Maybe they made molds for the Preview Wave, then did more accurate molds for the Proper March Release?

It's the same reason there's so many movie Bumblebee molds in the movie line that have something superior from one mold to the next, it's so we buy more.

Seriously, if they made a perfect version nobody would buy a second one.:lol

I hope the colors on the 2nd edition CJ look better in hand. They looks so dull in the pics we got now.

Might the Japanese versions have brighter/sharper paint?

Well, remember that the original plan was to have "preview" figures for Prime slotted into the Generations waves as early as this Spring. But with retailer support for the line dwindling with the upcoming movie releases, that idea got shelved.

But due to design lead time, the toys were of course ready.

What probably would have happened is that Cliffjumper would've been part of the second wave of preview figures earlier this year, and then the new, "Ver 2.0" figures would've been available during the Prime toyline proper, 6+ months down the road. More than enough time to offer newer versions of the same characters.

But cancelling those plans kinda screwed up that timeline a bit, so seeing multiple versions of the same toys within a much closer timeframe feels a bit "cramped".

Pardon me but do you guys know what is the difference between First Edition & Second Edition? They did not really announced much regards to Second Edition version right?

All of them looked dull because they were painted prototypes, not the actual factory plastic/paint.

I was originally going to stop TransFormers collecting after I got all the Dark of the Moon Wreckers and the Deluxe repaints of them. But these Prime toys are becoming too hard to resist! I guess the ambition of ten of each Vehicon is alive once more!:D

    Transformation, accuracy, weapons & kibble.

The Preview Wave is a little less accurate, but more streamlined. The Proper Launch Wave is more screen accurate, but some may cheat a bit more in the transformation to do that. At least that's how Cliffjumper is; we haven't seen as close views of the others yet.

i wish they'd take another stab at the prime deluxe bumblebee.. i think the figure looks pretty good as it is.. but it would be nice if they were able to have the door wings on his back closer together like they're supposed to be.. it's something they seem to just skip for every bumblebee mold since the first 07 concept movie bumblebee.. i just don't get how they can just skip over a major detail like that in his design.

Well, we've seen a 2nd Bumblebee mold, too... & since Hasbro is known for mistransforming their TFs for advertising, & the fact that I've seen that the doors on at least one (the NYCC one that's been reviewed) are on hinges that let them move for positioning on the back, I have a feeling they may be able to get closer in at least one version.

This one looks okay, but he looks kind of, well, flat, for lack of a better word, in robot mode. I also can't stand his face. I know it's accurate, but I don't like it. I love the character's design, and he has a great vehicle mode, but the one we saw at NYCC looked so much better. I'll definitely wait for that one.
