You think so? I mean the $40 starting price is not to be sneezed at, but I can't imagine they cost much to ship. Even with paying the middleman and profit, do these things usually DOUBLE in cost?

You have to factor in that these things are limited and any etailer wishing to sell them here has to have their connections in Japan obtain them, then ship them stateside. Shipping shouldn't be too much but the fact that one must travel to the store to buy these has to be factored in and the fact that the connections in Japan may not be charging the etailers at cost. Has to be incentive for someone to go out of their way and ship these to an etailer in the states.

Main question is, for the fan who wants them here, is it worth it?

why don't the US get the better figures...Leadfoot, Jetwing Prime, this energon blade Prime, we can go on and on...deluxe skywarp, I spent so much already on Dark of the Moon and some Generations and TFA and two RAge over Cybertron figs.Ugh....

Atleast I got Tranformers: Exiles to read I finally finished Exodus a month ago and this I guess will hold me up til Fall of Cybertron

TFC-01 Prime Blade for Movie Leader Optimus Prime was around $15 and it was not an official product. Usually unofficial custom parts add-ons cost more but not in this case.

 

BBTS has them for preorder at 49.99, not bad considering the exchange rate on 3000 yen right now.

Picked myself up a set to go with the Striker Prime I have on preorder. 

 

I just wanted to double-check. The blades are non-specific right? Like there isn't a left and right blade?

 

i might be wrong, but judging from the pic it does look as if the blades are left and right specific, if you care about the inner mechtech port. if not then they should be interchangeable.

 

Sold out already....damn.

 

This Japan exclusive Battle Blade is exclusive to how many pieces in TRU?

 

They are only making 10,000 sets.

There are 167 ToysRus stores in Japan, so that's about 59-60 sets per store.

And I agree, this should have just been included with Striker Optimus.

 

I rather they make an exclusive Striker OP than only the weapon itself.
